Brett Favre told the media on Monday that he believes he may be playing with a cracked rib, according to ESPN.com. Favre said he still plans to play the entire first half on Monday and that he won't wear any kind of protective equipment because "the damage is done."

This hasn't been the best start to a new quarterback's tenure in a city, and now apparently Favre is feeling discomfort when he takes a deep breath. We will have to see how it affects him tonight, but chances are he will play through something like this during the regular season.

Ha. This is going to be a pathetic season for him. What a disappointment.

(i live in charlotte, btw, and my g/f's a big steelers fan (pennsylvania native))
so, on tuesday afternoon, my girlfriend called me up and asked what i was planning on doing on Thursday night. I said, "ummm, sitting on my couch watching the game. duh."
she says, "oh goodie, well, now you can watch it in person! I got tickets from my boss."
me: "uhhhh, wtf?"
her: "the steelers/panthers game!!"
me: "but ... but ... the state game! (i'm a whiiiiiiiner)"

They're fancy-pants club seats, so hopefully there will by TVs nearby so I can keep the game I actually care about in the corner of my eye.
