yeah, i've gotten one from nike before and kept on doin my thing so getting one from nc state doesn't scare me, haha. i'm not in control of what happens with it though. i'm not really sure about all the details, i just know they wph was asked to stop and hopefully they can workout something with the university to get something going officially.

Just emailed the Sports Marketing folks about these jerseys. I put the link to this thread and the thread on Pack Pride and warned him that there were some pretty hateful things being said. I told him i didn't expect a response but got one anyway.

Switching to Nike isn't going to change the fact that we can't use STATE on a uniform. The University doesn't want STATE to be used, they want to be know as NC STATE.

the thing is, as bad as the small "NC" was, there was a lot else wrong w/ those jerseys. the stripe down the side, the heavy use of black. they were terrible all around.

I've got major qualms with Adidas. Somehow, they seem to butcher 99% of NC State apparel -- even the simplest of things. So I've been hard on the sports marketing people about the switch to adidas for some time. Once again, I might be getting mad at the wrong people. Here's an exerpt from another email I got from the Wolfpack Sports Marketing peoples after I told them they need to go back to Nike:

^^Wolfpack Sports Marketing is a separate entity that is not a part of the university. The only handle the corporate sponsorships that you see on stadium signage/ programs/ radio/ halftime promotions, etc. That is the sole responsibility of their office, they do no other marketing activities for the university.
