Caroline Wazniacki has fundamentally one of the best backhands in all of tennis. Possibly one of the best ever. Time will show this to be true.

they need to take those 3d cameras making Avatar or whatever that movie is called, and film some matches like this for entertainment and educational purposes.

i think i just need a slight tweek to my forehand i might be able to sling some forehands like that. who's up for some tennis tommorow?

Nadal/Gonzalez moved to Armstrong, will be played concurrently with Williams/Clijsters on Ashe, but neither will begin before 3:30 due to rain, which means Wozniacki/Wickmayer gets moved up, but also bumped to Grandstand.

If there's no rain:

Rafa/Gonzalez is at noon tomorrow

then two doubles matches

Wickmayer/Wozniacki is the last day session match

Clijsters/Serena is at 8 assuming the day session runs on schedule

I was hoping for a little more out of the Nadal match, but I'm also kinda glad he breezed through so he won't be so worn out tomorrow

Serena Williams is two points from losing, and on her second serve is called for a foot fault. This makes it 30-40 match point for Clijsters. Serena goes apeshit on the lineswoman that called it, and the lineswoman runs over to the chair and reports that she said some not nice things. She reports that Serena said that she would kill her and stuff the racket down her throat. Because Serena had received a code violation from slamming and breaking her racket after she dropped the first set, she was guilty of a second code violation which by the books, means that she loses a point. Being down match point, that ended the match! Unbelievable ending!

Even more unusual is that the crowd booed Serena off the court, and cheered very loudly for Clijsters when she was announced the 2009 US Open finalist.

I can't imagine the linemen would have made that foot fault up, but even so you can't call like a half an inch foot fault on that crucial point (maybe if she had done it like ten times already and not had it called) and I was going for clisters

It didn't look like a foot fault, but even if it was you have to know the situation enough not to call it (unless it was very blatant). Terrible call. Terrible ending. Even if Serena was going to lose. She should lose on the court not by a stupid call by a terrible line judge and then with a point penalty on match point. TERRIBLE!!!!

One thing wrong with the story, it was the ad court she was called the foot fault on, so after the foot fault it was 15-40 not 30-40

I'm not so sure Serena got booed off, I think the linesman did. Being a tennis player, the shittiest thing to ever have called against you is a foot fault at the end of a match. (Happened to me once when some random official stepped on my court, called me on it, then walked to other courts)
