funny thing is, TOB has been the one consistent voice so far this season to say that we weren't a good football team. everybody is just kinda like, "oh...that TOB, you gotta love him for calling it straight...so, whatya guys think? 8 wins? 9 wins?" I must admit that I didn't see this coming at all.

- beat unc twice including a rout. (good enough for one more season at least)
- Russel Wilson
- Top 25 class coming in

Reasons to fire TOB:

- One man show currently. (I am surprised this isn't pointed out more often)
- Worst loss in 20 years under him.
- Doesn't seem to adjust well.

Obrien doesn't adjust.

Our defense was worse in the second half. A good coach adapts and does not let duke score more points than they did in the first half.

Duke didn't have shit for a run game, it was clear we either needed more secondary help or more pressure on the qb, neither of which happened in half 2.

And no, I didn't watch the fourth quarter, so Duke's run offense may have improved.

I wasn't about to improve the ratings on our team by watching them on TV. They don't deserve an audience.

^^If VT and Alabama played again it wouldn't be that close. Statistically VT got destroyed and I know beamerball is a big part of VT but I just don't see VT keeping it close in a rematch.

I will clarify and say that I think VT is a quality team but they would have no chance against the Floridas/Alabamas of the world.

I'm not on the fire TOB train yet. It's a horrible loss, but we are a pretty bad team and Duke isn't this year. He's dominated UNC thus far, and as long as he beats them again what's the point of getting upset everytime we lose. He's been a good coach through his career and he's done a pretty good job righting the ship here from ground zero that Chuck left us at.

He's recruiting well and I think he gets another two years to evaluate his performance at a minimum.

It is really simple we tried to bring pressure and duke would respond with a screen pass and burn us. That left us in the terrible situation of not being able to put pressure on the QB and rely on our secondary to make a play for us. Wake started figuring it out and Duke obviously watched the Wake footage. We have gotten beaten by two of the best QBs in the ACC. When you have a bad secondary what do you really expect?
