Anyone still playing this. Finally picked it up for the PS3.

Rocking the Hunter for my first playthrough...I love sniping.

PS3 = Draklav if anyone wants to play!

if anyone wants to play on the 360 I have a 50 siren and a 50 soldier, and have a couple modded weapons for each if that matters. I also have like a 16 hunter.

Third Borderlands DLC drops this week

* By Tom Magrino, GameSpot
* Posted Feb 22, 2010 3:53 pm PT

The Secret Armory of General Knoxx intros new missions, weapons, vehicle, level cap to Gearbox's shooter for $10 on XBL tomorrow, PS3 and PC Thursday.

About this time last month, Gearbox Software announced that it was prepping a third add-on for its 3-million-unit-selling Borderlands, an expansion the studio promised would be its "biggest" yet. 2K Games didn't give gamers much of a heads-up on an exact date, saying today that The Secret Armory of General Knoxx will be available on Xbox Live tomorrow. The PlayStation 3 and PC release will follow this Thursday, February 25.

Like the critically welcomed Zombie Island of Dr. Ned and the welcomed critically Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot add-ons, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx will cost $9.99 (MSP800). Gearbox claims the add-on offers nearly double the amount of content packed into Zombie Island. Included in the package will be a new class of high-end weapons, a level-cap increase to 61, a new vehicle that seats up to four, nearly 30 new villain types, and tweaked AI.

It's best not to question lifestyle decisions of the criminally insane.

The Secret Armory of General Knoxx will also include a new storyline that picks up immediately after the events in the original game. As detailed in GameSpot's first look at the DLC, players find themselves being hunted by the Atlas Corporation. Of course, this kind of affront isn't to be taken lying down, and players will team up with a former Atlas employee named Athena to take the fight to the corporation. "

If you have a 50 character, just go ahead and play this in co-op on Playthrough 2 because Playthrough 1 will not offer enough XP, and prepare to die or be revived A LOT. Playing solo is a royal pain in the ass. They made this DLC tough and you really need to play this in co-op unless you got some HELLUVA strong guns.

Is there anyone else out there on the 360 that wants to play this in co-op? This DLC is impossible to play alone. There are not many people letting you join their games either, since they probably would rather help their friends out than some random player... yeah its really THAT hard. I can't find a game, or if I join a game, I am almost immediately kicked by the host. You ever spent 10 bucks on something that you can't use? That is what this DLC feels like unless you play with other people, and even then its like WOW after you get revived like 5 times or more in under a minute of gameplay.

FWIW, if anyone plays through and gets tired of this game, I'd be interested in buying it.

I pretty much have to wait. I'll try to pick up some players between now and then, but I'll still play with you. Trust me, the first few missions are pretty much a jokes, and are right in T-bone Junction (the none hostile area of the game except for one little instance), but the terrain in general for the rest of the quests ridiculously difficult.

if it gets too hard randoms gave my siren enough modded shit to run though just about anything (things that deal 4000+ x4 damage with a 16.4 fire rate and no ammo... shield = money. i wanna see if someone will give me a catalyst scavenger)

My modded gun and shield is gone. The update did it. Have you installed the update yet and seen your modded loot?

My modded gun had 1000x9 and 1600% enhanced damage, and 21 fire rate. It was BAD ass.

so is there an option for just straight fps like games or team games; I guess the game would let you match your characters with similar levels or just use standard characters?

does the second playthrough change in any way or is it like diablo 2, where it's just harder, on that note is stuff randomized like diablo?

any help would be nice, this game looks intriguing but I haven't bought a pc game for 50 bucks in a while

The game itself is not that hard, and it does scale up in terms of loot and enemies however, its just this damn DLC is friggin hard. It worth $50 so I'd say go ahead and get it. It doesn't quite have the magic of KLL (kill-loot-level) that D2 has but its a pretty good bang for your buck.

I've playing by myself now. When I got to level 54 or 55 (can't remember), found a bad ass assault rifle, and started using my rocket launcher much more, the game became quite playable for single person. But level 50 or so is a terrible level to play this DLC solo.

i played by myself for a while today. got up to like 57, but i have a few nice guns coming my way at 58. i missed out on an AWESOME shield (something like 1800 plus 240 recharge rate, might have even had a health regen) because i couldn't sell things fast enough

i've decided i can't beat complete the next mission on my own though. too hard. i lost a couple million so far trying

when you're going in on one of the 2nd or 3rd attempts you get, fall through a crack before you enter the armory. there's a room you can't go in if you wanna go back in, but I don't know what it is off the top of my head

there's also a few crawmerax glitches you can exploit to get that done easier. there's a blind spot on the map, and there's a way to hide in the elevator and keep from dieing so your partners don't have to worry about dieing and having him restart

going at crawmerax with 4 catalyst sirens is really fun btw, you pretty much wait about 2 seconds between phasewalks when you don't wanna get hit

Whenever I search "bumptown," Steam says there's no such player. I'm probably just being stoopid. Are you in the TWW Steam group? I could add you that way.

xroadsmedia is me on PS3. I'm home from around 7-12 everyday using the ps3 to watch netflix or a little gaming. I play MAG and Borderlands a good little bit. Haven't touched the general knoxx dlc, just finished the interstellar robot one.

I recently picked this up as well, steam name is bobwuzhere. I'm kind of curious to know how co-op would work if someone was low level and the other really high level. Level 10 sniper.

It depends on who joins who's game. If you joined my level 55 character with your level 10 character, you would have no chance to kill anything, however I could get you to level 40-50 in like 20 minutes because the XP you would get from my kills you literally be in the thousands per kill.
