I knew the the father was being poisoned, but I thought it was Melitta the slave girl that was doing it. She made mention of it earlier in the episode when talking to Lucrecia. I guess she didn't know Lucrecia upped the dose.

I can see how everything is going to play out now except for Gannicus. That i still a mystery to me.

Yeah, because historically, Gannicus was still alive during the Slave revolt, so I'm not sure how they'll pull this off.

Not saying that they've been completely accurate, but they do a fairly decent job of sticking to basic timelines, deaths, etc.

Could tell him it was the Tullius's wine that was poisoned and that it was aimed for Batiatus's father. Then they could offer Gannicus his freedom if he kills him, setting up for a rematch after he let him win before. Would seem to answer how they would get rid of Gannicus without killing him as well as rid themselves of Tullius and establish Crixus as the new champion and mounter of Lucretia, haha. By agreeing to the sale of Gannicus, it could also allow him to get close enough to kill Tullius.

My guess is that Solonius somehow double-crosses Batiatus in relation to the opening of the new arena.

The thought about Tullius purchasing Gannicus and Gannicus killing him makes sense to me since he would want revenge for the death of Melitta.

Nice finale. Tied together well. Glad to see a gladiator actually gain his freedom.

Gannicus breaking that motherfucker's jaw off was a nice touch. It's the little things that make this series entertaining.

I probably saw about a dozen slow-motion kicks to the chest, though. It was cool the first dozen times in Blood and Sand, but they need to put that one to bed.

It'll be interesting to see how the new Spartacus does. I hope he is juicing up right now, because the actor looks too skinny to me.
