2 Higher number of points
3 Better goal difference
4 Higher number of goals scored for
5 Better 2009 IIHF World Ranking

The Czechs didn't do shit the entire period until that goal, aside from a beautiful play by David Krejci where he dangled through two defenders and set up Fleischmann who missed horribly.
