I liked Sid's rotation this game. Notably, keeping Javi in the game most of the second half, even when he messed up a few times. I also like the fact he went with CJ over Wood for much of the second half. When Scott isn't looking for his shot, he doesn't bring much to the table. CJ is finally playing like everyone expected him to play this year. For a wing, he's a pretty good rebounder.

Retarded question, but where do you think this puts us in terms of making the NIT? The ACC should get 7 teams in the NCAAs (Duke, WF, Clemson, GT, VT, FSU, UMd.), and then Miami and us have the next best overall records, and we have three wins over top 25 teams.

With us missing any postseason the past 2 years (and badly at that), it would be nice even to see us get one extra game against Drexel or UTEP.

One it depends on how we finish and two it depends on how many regular season champs of the smaller conferences don't win their conference tournament (minus the Ivy League since they don't have a tournament). The NIT now has to take the non-NCAA selected regular season winners that don't win their conference tournament. This could even be true for the Pac-10 this year as that league may only get a record low 1 bid in the NCAA this year.

Good win. The refs sucked. I was pissed the entire game watching the dirty ass Miami players sticking out their legs on the screens and tripping States players (that is what got smith). Stupid fucking refs don't understand that tripping is NOT part of setting a screen and is considered an illegal screen? Oh well what can you expect... Also Smith was on the same end of the floor as the play. I believe that it is in the rules that play should be stopped if the player is close to the action and can be tripped over/stepped on. The rule is designed to keep the injured player safe and Smith was definitely in a little bit of a dangerous position (AKA if there had been a ball tipped out towards half court smith could really have been fucked up)

The NIT is going to be all ncaa bubble teams. Theres not much of a difference between missing the ncaa and missing the nit. Most of the teams in the nit at large should have been in the ncaa but their bubbble got busted by rogue conference winners.

We have to win out and make the championship game to be a lock for the nit and miracle shot at ncaa. It would put us in the same position as sid's first year.
