when an NHL player does it to an opposing goalie he immediately gets crosschecked in the throat by about 3 of the goalie's teammates, so i doubt that if you do it to a kid it's somehow friendly

that said, the kid doesn't look too upset

He does that before every game, whether or not there's a kid standing there. And like has been said here and other places, the kid's got a story to tell for the rest of his life. Is it kind of a jackass move? Yeah, I'd say it is. Should there be national discussion about it? Hell no.

I can't stand Ovechkin, and there are plenty of solid reason to hate on him. If this is gonna be your reason to hate on him, you need to find a better one.

In other news, I am on the Predators bandwagon. Will be hoping for a 3-1 series edge after tonight.
