the amare thing does seem like a typical dumb knicks move but I can't really blame them for making it, they have plenty of cap room and couldn't afford to come up empty this off season, if they keep david lee too they can at least say they have a good front line for them and work on the guard situation over the next couple of yrs

I'm just having a hard time seeing this Amare contract not being like the other atrocious ones they've been trying to unload for the past few seasons

nah the knicks are good. they can still sign any other superstar or worst case scenario they can bring lee back and add a good guard.

duhon
allen
howard
amare
lee

would be a nice team

[Edited on July 6, 2010 at 7:58 PM. Reason : if they get wade or bron they will be in the mix for years to come.]

Man, it'd be cool to see the Knicks sign Lebron now. The Knicks would be like the D'Antoni Suns, except with Lebron playing Steve Nash lol. Too bad they can't shoot 3s well enough.

that would be awesome if bosh takes that cleveland deal, cleveland must be really boring and crappy to live if he refuses the deal right now but this would definitely renew my interest in the nba knowing their is a team to kill the lakers now

Quote :
"Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh are teaming up together on the Miami Heat, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

lastname
Wade
Bosh
Bosh

Whether LeBron James, the kingpin of this summer's celebrated free agent class, will join them remains to be seen. James will announce his decision Thursday night at 9 ET during a one-hour special on ESPN.

Wade and Bosh are expected to announce their decision on Wednesday, according to the source.

James or not, the Heat could emerge as one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference with Wade and Bosh aboard. Wade, who led the Heat to the NBA title in 2006, is re-signing with the club, while Bosh will leave the Toronto Raptors after seven years with the club.

Both players are expected to get the maximum amount allowable under the league's collective bargaining agreement, though the addition of James could change the players' salaries. Contracts cannot be officially signed until July 8.

It was not immediately clear whether Bosh will sign with Miami outright or join the Heat through a sign-and-trade deal. Bosh could earn $125 million over six years via sign-and-trade, but only $96 million over five without it.

"Either way, he's definitely going to Miami," the source said."

well I'm glad bosh teamed with someone, I was hoping it would be lebron though, miami prob still needs to work on their roster some too

lebron might have known about this already but this makes his decision a lot more difficult now, I wonder if thinks about the knicks now or chicago, hell even new jersey by himself might be tempting if he knows he can't win a title with this cavs group, new jersey has harris and lopez and cap room at least, and I haven't heard anything about boozer, maybe he can team with him somewhere?

you're crazy if you dont think he already knew about the bosh/wade thing, and also if you still think he hasn't got his mind made flat the fuck up

you dont schedule an announcement at a hard time if you're waffling on your decision

I have a $100 dollar bet with my company's COO on this.

I bet that he's going to go to either Chicago or stay in Cleveland

COO has Miami, New York and New Jersey.

Who wins?

LOL, I gave him New Jersey b/c he really wanted Chicago.

But honestly, I don't think the Nets have a fucking chance.

80/20 I lose....really? You must feel really strongly about New York or Miami. Which one?

If I was picking, I'd say

1. Knicks - Most potential money, no legacy to live up to and a great big man

2. Cleveland - Finish what he started

3. Miami - Best team on paper, but it would always be Wade's team

4. Chicago - I don't think Rose and Noah as are good a foundation as some people do

5. Nets - 2 years till Brooklyn, only in the running due to Jay Z

I couldnt tell you which one I think has more of a chance. Everyone seems to think the Knicks are the front runners now, and people on here make a good point about not releasing contract terms on the Heat players yet. I honestly dont think NJ is out of the question. But I would be surprised if he was putting up this big Sportscenter shit show to say he is going back to Cleveland.

It looks like there arent any other big names going to Chicago, and I would assume LBJ doesnt want to play with Noah. They had that whole thing about the dancing not that long ago and Noah is a huge prick anyway.

I just don't buy the whole living in MJs or Wade's shadow in Chicago or Miami. It sounds like some bullshit that allows Mike & Mike to fill three hours on the radio.

I can't picture Lebron sitting around with his friends saying "man, I'd love to play in Chicago, but I just can't bear the thought of playing in Michael Jordan's shadow" or "Miami is a great place to live and I can win there, but it will always be Wade's team and that sure could hurt my legacy".

It's gonna be about $$ and winning, plain and simple. All this legacy talk is overblown.

Maybe he should donate it to Cleveland's suicide hotline. They could be looking to add some extra staff for the next few weeks.
