still thinking about the 5 samples. does anyone wonder if we're to assume they're all semen samples (since all the girls were raped and they no doubt took samples to find dna) or perhaps 4 semen and 1 blood?

maybe i am overthinking it but the more i think about it (lol) i feel like they may have made a bigger deal of dex getting stabbed in the lake or at least a little hint that something was left behind like a zoom in on the cut or an underwater shot? who knows. maybe getting stabbed in the lake was just that, getting stabbed in the lake. maybe its too much of a stretch to think some of the blood could end up in a barrell which later got into a car accident on the highway....

hoping we'll find out more about #5 in tomorrow nights episode!!!

^^ agreed that it's a stretch. But as much as I like the show... there have been quite few "stretches" in the past, so it just wouldn't surprise me. And it's something that would raise suspicions but at the same time could be explained by sloppy forensics work... leaving doubts only in the minds of Quinn, Deb, and LaGuerta - who have all heard the dexter is shady theories.


Again, I don't think it will go that route (there are other options to raise suspicion that seem more likely). I just wouldn't be caught off guard by it.

1. will lumen stick around? i hope so, but i think she'll either get killed, sent to jail as the only culprit in the murders of the ring, or head back home.

2. does deb find out about dexter? or just quin? i feel like at least one of them will know by the end of the season.

^^^I think that scene is just used to show the power that Chase has over people, even those he's hurt. Not sure she'll play a major role

I don't think Lumen will stick around. Having a sidekick killer is cheesy and ridiculous to me and I don't think it would do well going on with that. I think it's likely she'll be killed off somehow or another because I don't see her just going home but maybe she'll sacrifice herself for Dexter?

Deb finding out about Dexter has been in the cards for a long time. It is going to happen at some point in the series and I think it would make sense this season because she keeps making comments like "when I thought who could do this [kill the ring leaders] the first person I thought of was me" she mentions other times in this season other things to the effect of "they get what they deserve" so I think she could understand if Dexter did this. I see Quinn finding out for sure but getting killed one way or another, though not by Dexter as Quinn is relatively innocent. So is Robocop (as far as we know) so I guess you could rule out Dexter taking out either one or assisting Lumen in doing so.

They should've played up the suspense when Quinn and Deb were on the way to the house. I was nervous for a little bit about what would happen, but then it jumped over to Dexter's old house pretty quickly.

The Dex/Lumen sex disappointed me a little bit but oh well, I can get over it. It was still a pretty good episode

I want to say that Deb will definitely find out, and while that may be an interesting short-term story line, I think the show would be suck if she knew all the time and she's too major a player to kill off. My predictions:

- Quinn kills Liddy but not before Liddy tells Deb something about Dexter being involved
- Jordan kills Quinn somehow, I don't know about that but I can't see Quinn staying alive
- Lumen either gets killed or gets caught, and takes 100% of the blame which would fit with Deb's theory. Deb still won't know for sure about Dexter but will now have a reason to look out for it

ehh, he never really loved Rita. I mean, i guess he did in whatever way he could. But it was always pretty clear that a big part of it was for show.

I know a big part of this show is the ambiguity... but Dexter makes it very clear through the seasons that he doesn't really feel much. And he has an extremely tough time being empathetic because of his lack of emotional experience. I doubt he really feels much about/for Rita at all at this point. I mean he says it when people ask, but he doesn't. He could have had sex with someone a day after she died and not felt any particular way about it.

Plus, he can actually kind of relate to some of Lumen's needs. And Lumen knows more about who Dexter really is than Rita did after being with him for years.

Jordan Chase has almost no chance of surviving. I think Deb will pin the vigilante murders on Lumen (in the preview they show her shoe).

I am not convinced that Deb finds out about Dexter, but maybe she catches Jordan Chase and kills him as a twist...she said a few episodes ago she would.
