The mother is the crazy girls roommate from the naked man episode. Probably a fair assumption that Zoe didn't have a second home while married to the captain.

True, but that was two seasons ago. Not sure, but a couple years have passed since then and it's possible Zoey and The Captain haven't married for long.

I'm just saying you can't 100% rule out Zoey. Who knows?

yeah the mother is rachel bilson's roommate and she was also in the failed economics lecture Ted tried to teach on his first day. Both of these would have already been realized by he or Zoey. this is just another stepping stone. at least Jennifer Morrison was tolerable in this episode.

Marshall was getting stale for a while, but they have treated him and used him very well this season. Barney still carries the show for me, though. Him breaking down about his dad had me LOLing.

I'm not a Ted hater per se, but he annoys the crap out of me sometimes. Of course him with the girls situation also reminds me of my roommate (sorry, Pat) at times.

---- And what is going on with Robin? She looks more and more like a hobo with each passing show. Is Cobie Smulders a crack addict or something? No way her looks should have gone so far downhill in her mid-late 20's.

Robin vs Lily has turned into a poor man's version of Rachael vs Monica as far as degradation of hotness over the life of the show. In the beginning, Rachel and Robin were much hotter. But they slowly lost something as the show went on. Meanwhile, Lily and Monica started out somewhat homely, but ascended to new heights as the show progressed. Now, I'm not trying to compare late 90's Courtney Cox to 2011 Alison Hanigan...I know Courtney was miles ahead. Nor am I saying I'd rather bang Lily than Robin right now. I'm just saying the gap is closing.

Exactly. If Zoey was the mother, Narrator Ted would have probably known Katy Perry character's name (just knew her as Honey). Plus, he introduced Zoey to the kids by saying something like "kids, you remember Zoey as..." or something like that.

Enjoyed it again -- have liked a lot more than the sixth season of The Office so far... tough for a show this far in to not become stale but they've done a pretty good job.

My girlfriend was watching "Oh Honey" again the other day and pointed out that everyone was a character from clue. Ted wore purple the whole show, Zoey wore white, Barney green etc...and Marshall was playing the game w/ his family. Pretty cool, I had definitely not noticed that the first time I watched..

I liked the episode, though it was a let down on Barney not turning a new page. I like how Lily punching Barney put him in cardiac arrest for I think it was 12 or 13 seconds.

The writers of the show do such an amazing job at hiding little easter eggs throughout the show, which is why the Clue thing was awesome.

Zoe was definitely a flake. However I am glad her plotline gave us one thing: the Captain's split personality face. Bottom half: happy and friendly... Top half: MURDER!

Likewise. That storyline has just been too far gone from anything remotely realistic. A guy in his lower 30s is designing and building a huge skyscraper in NYC? And everyone (including Ted) acts like he's trying to build a McDonalds. Great story...
