as a Browns fan and a Panthers fan, this is probably the first time I've ever been able to say that the Browns are a much better team than the Panthers

I went to the game today. Watched it in a suite. Michael Jordan was in the suite next to ours. Got to see him for most of the game. It was pretty fucking awesome.

Oh, and the Panthers suck cock. Seriously. WTF were they doing today?

delhomme probably lost his job to a non-first round rookie qb today

carolina just picked the wrong one. but if they arent idiots (and buffalo actually loses), it might work out for the best

^^I do wonder why it hasn't been highlighted elsewhere how poorly the front office has reacted to the potential problems next season. Isn't priority 1 to win games? With this team, it's impossible.

OK, you save yourself a little money in player salary.

You lose a nice chunk with low attendance.

Fixed it.

This season definitly but John Fox football eventhough we have had winning seasons, is often boring if not frustrating.
Half the time I am pulling my hair out because we are running the ball up the middle on 3rd and 24 or we get down to the 2 yard line only to get
stopped after running/failing the SAME fucking draw play 3 times in a row.

My dad will not shut up about this (he is a app alum). He loves playing armchair coach.
On the other hand I'd liek to give Fox enough credit that there is a reason this has not been tried. Although, Fox
did pass up on potentially picking up Drew Bree's because "he is to short" for a QB.

At this point though I am kind of like, fuck it, at least Armanti can not make us any worse.

Panthers' Matt Moore out for season

Quote :
"CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Carolina Panthers' miserable year took an even darker twist Monday when tests revealed starting quarterback Matt Moore has a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder and will require season-ending surgery.

Moore will undergo surgery in two weeks and be out four to six months, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. He is expected to be able to throw again in April.

Moore was injured when Sedrick Ellis drove his right shoulder into the turf on a sack in the second quarter of New Orleans' 34-3 rout on Sunday. In the last year of his contract and after failing to move the Panthers except in their lone victory this season, Moore may have played his last game in Carolina.

But coach John Fox's reluctance to commit to struggling Jimmy Clausen over fellow rookie Tony Pike as Moore's replacement further illustrated his predicament as the Panthers (1-7) flirt with being one of the lowest-scoring teams in NFL history.

"The two quarterbacks on the roster, we'll take a look at them this week and decide who gives us the best chance to win," Fox said.

To make matters worse, the only bright spot for the Panthers this season -- the defense -- took its own hits. Starting middle linebacker Dan Connor is lost for the season after breaking his hip Sunday, and the team has decided not to bring back weakside linebacker Thomas Davis this season from his second major knee surgery in a year.

Fox also confirmed Jonathan Stewart sustained a concussion Sunday and gave no timetable for fellow running back DeAngelo Williams' return from a foot injury.
"

...

Quote :
"Fox said third-round pick Armanti Edwards, a college quarterback at Appalachian State who had been converted to receiver, would get some snaps at QB in practice this week.

"If we did not bring in another quarterback, he would be the next best emergency quarterback that we have," he said."
