No, I'm certain it was in 2002. I was a freshman that year and watched the game in the lounge of Bowen. We were ranked 9th in the nation and mobbed H'boro St after the game. There was even some dude breathing fire in the street. I had all of these memories as a freshman in the fall of 2002.

definitely 2002. we came in 8-0 and the commentators were trying to decide if we were a fraud or not. by halftime they were convinced, then we fell apart against GT

You guys are using anecdotal evidence to argue something that can be googled in about two seconds.

2002

That clemson memory is synonymous with the 11-3 season for me.

I was at that game. Drove back that not, got 30 minute of sleep and then headed over to Riddick to wait in line for SWPC tix for next weeks game.

I was a freshman at State in 2002 and I remember the Thursday night beatdown we gave to Clemson, and the ensuing riot afterwards. I lived on the 11th floor of Sullivan and everyone in the building was throwing toilet paper off of the breezeways onto the trees. We then went down and yelled "WOLF"...and got a "PACK" response from the Central campus students. We then ran over to the Tri Towers area, met up with those people and were going nuts. There were people climbing into the trees and such. Then someone said "LET'S GO TO THE BELL TOWER!" and the march went on grabbing up other students that were just walking around. Once we got to the Bell Tower it really got amped up. We all were new to this success, and didn't know if we should take Hillsborough or not. Finally some people just ran out into the street and everyone followed. We shut down Hillsborough and marched down toward Dan Allen. News vans began to arrive and some guys were jumping on top of them. We turned on Dan Allen and marched on yelling out chants at the top of our lungs. We stopped at the intersection with Thurman and that's when the guy started breathing fire. We then went on and turned on Cates and got stopped near Talley iirc by the campus police. They were like, "you crazy kids have had your fun, now go home or you'll be arrested." A few shouts of "FUCK DA POLICE" rang out, but the crowd started to disperse. One of my suitemates was so excited that he forgot to put on some shoes and walked barefoot the entire way.

That was the best riot I was a part of while at State. The few that came after just never compared to that one. It was like my first Hillsborough Hike. It was perfect and none of the subsequent ones ever came close to it.

Nice.

I most ridiculous "riot" I took part in was the last real "campout" for basketball tickets around 2001-2002.

Highlights:

-Bookstore almost burned down.
-A tree or two was cut down.
-A Jeep Cherokee "caught fire" outside the bookstore.
-Firetrucks were pelted with glass beer bottles.
-Streaker from the cross country team wore a wolf mask and gave campus police fits for about 20 minutes.
-Multiple bands booed off the stage in front of Reynolds.

^Georgia Tech game in 2000 was my most memorable. I was a freshman then, we tore down goal posts, dragged them out of the stadium and got all the way to the waffle house on Hillsboro St. Campus was INSANE that night.

Ain't no party like a tri-towers party. ha!

^ It was lots of fun until the tear gas (or whatever it was) came out.

Anyone know what they did with the goal post after we were forced to clear out? I wish they had installed it at waffle house to mark the end of its trek. (As a shrine to its most distant journey from the stadium ever? Has one been further?)

Just for the record, this is (was?) a Redskins' cheerleader and Chris Cooley's wife. That's why she's wearing the gold and maroon.

I figured out several ways to make this picture more awesome than it already is.

Put the TWW helicopter flying in the sky.

Have a flow of urine coming from the standing wolf so that he's giving a golden shower to the wolf on the ground.

Put a LARGE pile of wolf shit on the open space in front of the wolves. Wolves shit in the wild; this is realistic.

Use elegant but bold font to display the words JAMMIN ON THE HOT in the center of the picture either at the top or the bottom.

A Bojangles in the background would be a nice touch.

A Block S logo is necessary in one of the corners for brand identity.

The Bell Tower should be part of the landscape in the background. No Hunt Library, though.

[Edited on October 8, 2010 at 5:06 PM. Reason : Certainly there is someone who can photoshop these additions.]

the only thing that could possibly make that picture any better is if the wolf lying on the ground with his front paws together had a bowl of popcorn right by his paws

The TWW helicopter is obvious.

The golden shower is a shout-out to our State vs. App antics.

The wolf shit is just manly.

JAMMIN ON THE HOT is the t-dub theme song.

Bojangles is just good food.

The Block S is who we are. It screams WE ALL GO TO NC STATE (and attract news coverage by being awesome, urinating on each other, and eating at Bojangles).

The Bell Tower is a timeless symbol that conjures up images of the phallus.

Make it happen, gentlemen. Every campus dweller will have one of these printed up as a poster and hanging on their dorm room wall. Maybe put a http://www.thewolfweb.com on there as well.
