^agreed. and actually, this is the best way for me to explain why BB was shit compared to TDK.

Who dresses up as Ra's al Ghul? Or has a poster of Ra's al Ghul? Or quotes Ra's al Ghul? Or speculates about Ra's al Ghul's return in a sequel?

Neeson helped make Nolan's point that this reboot was going to be more realistic and gritty than the whole Clooney/Kilmer shenanigans. Having Al Ghul instead of some more fantastic villain like The Penguin or Riddler helped establish that early on.

You know, I really wish that my job for about 6 to 8 months was solely to get big, and that's it.

That would be fun b/c i love exercise and working out, but that kind of dedication is hard to pull off when you have a job.

I've always wanted to do acting for the exact opposite reason: namely getting fat. I'd love to just put on 50 pounds by eating icecream 8 times a day and then when someone says "Damn, Mr. Joshua, you've really let yourself go" I could say "FUCK YOU. IT'S FOR MY CRAFT. I'VE ACTUALLY BEEN WORKING REALLY HARD TO GET THIS OUT OF SHAPE"

I read somewhere that Ryan Gosling auditioned for the part of the dad in The Lovely Bones, and had imagined him while reading the book as a heavier set man. So he drank melted Haagen-Daz ice cream until he gained like 50 pounds, and then Peter Jackson saw him and was all "Umm, nope."

That's all well and good and I appreciate the realism, but TDK proves you can do realism and not having boring ass villains.

Pretty sure Matt Damon had to do something similar to this for his role in "The Informant!"

Which was actually a pretty under-rated movie.

Russell Crowe got fat as shit for Body of Lies, but it made little sense in the context of the movie. He was a CIA agent, but just stayed at home the whole time talking on the phone while Leo did all the stunts. Whether he was of normal weight or obese had little bearing on how his character was perceived.

Has any actor made as many transformations as Christian Bale?

Machinist to Batman Begins
Rescue Dawn to The Dark Knight
The Fighter to The Dark Knight Rises

Can't be healthy

He also got fat as shit for The Insider, but then was diesel for Gladiator.

Of course, he didn't have to be obese for that one either. Maybe he just likes excuses to get fat.

Jon favreau does it to. Goes from built as shit to fat pretty quickly. There doesn't appear to be any middle ground.

"The latest rumor for which role Gordon-Levitt is playing: the gangster Alberto Falcone, the son of Tom Wilkinson's Batman Begins villain Carmine Falcone. Obviously, this is all just rumor and speculation, but the younger Falcone was a major player in the Long Halloween storyline, which Nolan has previously made extensive use of in the movies. And, if nothing else, Alberto Falcone is infinitely more believable than the other two apparent choices, Robin or the Riddler. So yeah...don't believe this just yet, but this certainly wouldn't surprise me. "

I think you mean Inception 2: The Dark Knight Rises.

At the end of the movie, Bruce Wayne wakes up from his elaborate 'Batman' dream and decides to disband Wayne Enterprises.

Has Cotillard played anything other than crazy? She just gives off a very unstable vibe. I guess she could be a good Harley Quinn or something like that.

The Holiday Killer and Catwoman? Odd

Quote :
"The true identity of the killer is never definitively revealed in the story itself; both Alberto Falcone and Gilda Dent admit to being Holiday, with Gilda claiming she committed the first three murders and that someone else (she believes her husband Harvey) took over from there. "

Having Harvey Dent's wife go crazy could be fun...but was he married in the movie? I don't remember talk about a wife

seems like theres going to be way too much shit going on in this movie. it's either going to be 3 hours plus, some of the characters aren't going to have much in the way of story, or nolans lying that this is his last movie.

Christian Bale is just naturally a skinny guy. Given the right training, it is easier for skinny people to bulk up quickly and then lose it rather than heavy people doing the opposite.

Maybe they explain the effectiveness of the lazarus pit and its ability to bring al guhl back from near death (or death even). Then, Liam comes back as the older al guhl and kicks ass.

Hmmm. I just assumed that the new Batman was a bit more grounded in reality, in that Ra's Al Ghul "lived" on through all those generations because it was more a title that was passed from person to person in Nolan's Batman. Kinda like the Dread Pirate Roberts.

So they're going mystical pool angle huh? That's a shame.

Maybe its a hole for lava.

Or snakes, why does it always have to be snakes?

It could be that it is explaining the pool as a myth or legend that they never found. Just explaining someones background.
