i just beat the Red Lipstick murder and would have gotten 5*'s if i didn't drive like a maniac. I got all the clues and got all the questions right. Game is lots of fun

in the main menu, select cases and the bonus cases show up in whichever desk they're assigned to. (slip of the tongue is traffic and the naked city is vice)

i got the rockstar pass or whatever yesterday.. gives you immediate access to all the preorder content (couple of suits, and two cases) plus another two cases in the future (one in june, one in july)

i just finished it, but i also never drove from place to place.

i sort of wish i would have, because it was wayyyyyy too short. no idea if it's going to let me go back and do the street crimes now or what happens. i cut it off last night after finishing.

i thought it was a pretty good game, but not a big fan of dropping $60 on something I beat in exactly 2 weeks time.

^^^ go into free play mode for each desk (from the cases menu) to complete the street crimes (there's a separate list of them for each desk, and will tell you if you've completed them all when you start the mode)

i just got this game

i'm absolutely horrible at figuring out when to choose "lie" or "doubt". i mean... technically i don't see what the difference is except you have to present evidence on a "lie".. i always screw those up

also, when do the street crimes become available? I just got my first promotion, so i'm still pretty early in the game

street crimes should be available in your first real traffic case. just make sure you are in a police car so you can get the call over the radio. if not you'll have to search the map for them physically.

yeah.... i just don't like it. i rarely use the doubt button b/c i don't see the point of it. either they are telling the truth or i'm going to use evidence to prove they are lying. i don't see why it counts me wrong if i doubt then if they are lying..

yeah when i progressed in the game and got a good number of the 'hints' or whatever its called when you can either 'ask the audience' or eliminate a choice, i found many of the ones i struggled getting on my own were doubts...if doubt or lie are the correct choice, the person's facial features will be similar, but sometimes you just have to look and see what evidence you have, and go from there

i definitely hit pause and quit the game and resumed from the main menu a number of times when i screwed up choices, but i did notice that the doubt option was the one i seemed to use the least as well

I just got this today and played for a bit. I am at the werewolf murder... I dont think I like the game. It is boring and tedious. Plus the action sequences are all the same and seem to be designed for people that have never played a video game before

This seems to be a good trial of the first use of this technology so basically they are trying to figure out how to effectively use it and what reactions they are getting from the players. Its getting rather dry to me as well, only because you do pretty much the exact same thing over and over again without any exciting factor to get a rewarding feeling when you get something right or solve the case, but its still OK I guess.

it has gotten a lot more complex as I've played and it makes it less boring... the cases I just did were pretty complex and hard to figure out...

I did the golden butterfly and had to interview the husband or the child molestor.. i had to pick one to charge... i picked the husband and the police chief yelled at me for it..

i passed the case, though... so does it matter who i charged? or does it do that no matter which one i had picked?

the game is on rails a bit.. meaning you can do poorly on the cases and still move on to the next.

some were preorder bonuses, others just straight up DLC. they're not free -- you can buy the rockstar pass for.. $10? i think and get all of the preorder bonuses plus the new DLC case(s)

Same, I ended up having to look up a walkthrough online to do that right. You really have to get everything right in the interrogation to get that one.

I'm still loving this game.
I just did the "Quarter Moon Murders". That was an awesome case. It was a nice change of pace and seemed like an entirely different game...more scavenger/adventure oriented.
