im not sure if I can blame this game on lowe so far

maybe the defensive effort would be different with a better coach but im not sure how you account for a guy going 1-11 on shots inside 8 feet

Bingo. Early in the game, Brown had just converted an old fashioned three point play, and directly afterward Lowe benched him. God forbid you let one of the few players who's making shots and gaining confidence stay in the game

I knew some idiot was gonna come in here and say exactly this. The sub players were already sent out way before that play. When someone is running up and down the court all night they can't play 40 minutes. He had already been in for 7 or 8 minutes at that point.

if the sub is already set to come in then that is ok... but lowe does this shit a lot when a player catches fire... the common sense rule is a player doesn't come out unless he is sucking... or says "coach i need a breather." its THEN when he should get this break from your "40" minutes a game that is impossible

lowe does not get this and i hate watching those bullshit substitutions

well there is a lot to be said for resting the freshman a bit so they have stamina at the end of the game. a lot of young athletes never want to come out, and don't understand that even though they aren't that tired NOW, it's a long game, and when you need their high gear later, they can't give it to you.

on top of that, it's a good precedent to rest them regularly during the season so they aren't tired out by the end of the year.

of course, i'm just playing devil's advocate. it could be a bad coaching decision, too.

and on a good note, we are rebounding the fuck out of the ball tonight. that's a change.
