Okay, my picks are in and it's total bullshit.

I spent approximately 3 minutes making my picks. I just hope I'm not the worst picker this year.

I hate my bracket and no matter how much I tinker with it I don't feel confident at all with it. I could easily see all 4 #1 seeds making the final 4, but I don't want to pick that. My bracket could definitely be a disaster...

Three of my four regions have the top four seeds in the sweet 16, other one has the top three

my bracket is pretty top heavy too, the sweet sixteen is all 1-4 seeds, and the final four is all 1 seeds

I want to go back and play with it again, but I am trying to do the whole "stick with your first instincts" thing

I have Pitt as the weakest 1, but they have such a weak bracket I have them coming out of it

Florida as a 2? Come on

I went out on a limb with a Duke, Pitt, Syracuse, Purdue Final Four which means they will all be out in the first or second round

^^
Utah St. has a Kenpom rating of #16, (KSU is 29) plus it's a 5/12 matchup, so I went with Utah St.
Belmont isn't far behind at #18. I'm picking Belmont as the only 4/13 upset of the tourney.

I had all 1's in the final four, so I had to force myself to go back and change it

I think I have 2 bracket's in the group. I'm gonna say that my 2nd one is the one to judge me by (for the record, so I don't get called out in the future).

Anyone with 2 brackets is a crock

But, you're a girl, so we'll make an exception

the only acceptable reasons to have multiple brackets are if you are playing them for money or a major player is questionable to play (i.e. Irving) and outcomes could be affected, but only that region and the F4 (if you put the team that far) can be different between the brackets

[Edited on March 17, 2011 at 10:42 AM. Reason : for the record i still only have 1 bracket]

In 2008, all four #1 seeds made it to the Final Four:

UNC, Kansas, UCLA, Memphis

Im in a yahoo league where the first round receives an upset bonus of (high seed - low seed) x 2. I have upsets galore in the first round. Pretty much any game in which I have the winner getting knocked out in the subsequent round, I picked the upset.

Picking the winner is only worth 2 pts in itself, so I figure if it hit on one or two of the upsets (which is bound to happen) i'll come out even, and any more than that is gravy. My bracket probably won't be the prettiest in terms of overall wins/losses, but I think I gave myself a good chance to win it.

^this is why I really kinda prefer straight up scoring

I think if you don't get bonuses or extra points for later rounds it makes you really try to think who will win not just how the points manipulate best.

Yeah, I made 5 brackets. One bracket was where I actually chose my guesses. The others were where I automatically advanced the 1s and 2s to the sweet 16, then flipped 2 coins (3 if the lower seed was 7 or more less than the higher seed) for each match-up. If they both came up as tails, the lower seed won. Then, at the elite 8, it was heads or tails (heads to the higher seed always), and did that till the championship.

So far, one of these coin flipping brackets has beaten me 3 years in a row.

Well, technically I made 6. The other one was a straight heads or tails bracket that I like to do every year. 15 seed Long Island U won the tournament (yes, that means UNC lost in the first round)

BTW, FIRST POST HERE WOOT

^^I tend to agree, but thats the way the commish did it this year, so i rolled with it...I just hope nobody else realizes the flaw in that scoring system

I went chalk on the left side but have Notre Dame and St Johns on the right. The Southeast is the suckiest region by far, I didn't want to put any of them in the final four.

Paypal would be easy, but how many people would really pay?

I'd rather have 140 people to compete against for free than maybe the 30 or so who would do a paid bracket

We all know TWWers are some of the cheapest motherfuckers on the planet

Besides, most people are in office pools for money. This is for TWW supremacy, which is infinitely more valuable
