might have been asked before, but... why do we get points for the spread even if our prediction was reversed? i mean, i'll keep the points, but it seems wrong that i got 2 pts for thinking state would win by 8, but got beat by 7

just making sure that was the intention

The intention is to give credit for calling a close game vs a blowout. Anyone who said this game was going to be only a 1 touchdown difference earned points, and I think that's fair.

The only drawback would be if someone gets points for predicting a blowout that goes the opposite way, but that hasn't happened yet.
