Really? I thought it was pretty much a consensus that the show has been revitalized a bit. Sure, it's never gonna be Season Two again but I'm enjoying it at the very least again...

dont get me wrong, I still enjoy it

making Andy the boss was a horrible decision though

I could care less about he and Erin and whatever they have and they've decided to go all-in with it

Looking strictly at the office (sans Michael/Andy), this season is hands down better.

Less overwhelming love plots, more emphasis on secondary characters, and Robert California is wayyyy better than that Sabre boss-lady.

erin and kevin were funny.

i feel as though they are hinting at something with jim and pams replacement.

I'm done with this show. If our resident humor czar thegoodlife3 doesn't like it, then I honestly cannot believe anyone else does either.

^^They are definitely hinting it. Looks like the temp girl is definitely into Jim but he is oblivious.

yeah I noticed that... I was thinking that maybe I was wrong, but then she was all about getting Jim for a chicken fight in the pool... and I was like "oh shit!"

That was become Jim is an excellent chicken fighter, as noted in the season three episode "Are You Chicken?", in which he famously defeats Todd Packer at the company picnic. I don't think it had anything to do with romantic intent.

Agreed. I can't tell if it was just a lame concept, or if it was executed poorly, that that opener was just a waste of time as far as I could tell.

And that was a decent episode. The whole "Jim being on trial" thing was ok, though not fleshed out nearly enough.

Weak, but not turrible.

I think this season's been much better than the previous season (or two), but this episode was kinda weak IMO. The opening was pretty lame, as others have said.

The beauty of this episode is the juxtaposition of Jim's lie, and the events that result from it.

He is essentially put on trial, presumed guilty, then released with his "punishment".

It's so meta

this episode was just plain bad and Jim is becoming insufferable. he's just not a fun character anymore. he was a complete douche a few episodes back at the pool party. it's a shame what they've turned he and pam into.

the potential setup should be the potential cancellation of this entire show.

but truthfully, the more interesting storyline in regards to Dwight's possible spin off is the true paternity of Angela's new baby.

welp

here comes your Jim/new girl affair storyline

Jim and Pam are pretty horrible these days so it'd be pretty awesome if they turned him into a heel

i feel as though they will push that heavily but nothing will happen with it. the show is a comedy and not a drama...but they do like to pull on the strings.

i like how dwight started to listen to the five people in his group and realizes that he can succeed with them.

are you seriously telling me they played with erin's character like a cat with a dead mouse for 3+ seasons and now she's just going to bolt?

they better not pull this same shit with jim and kathy. fuck it, let him have an affair, pam wants a divorce, relationships in the office get weird, at least that might have the potential to be interesting television.

With Erin, she will go to FL, begin the very beginning of a new life in FL, Andy will go down there after realizing how much she means to him, and they will get together.

As for Jim and Pam, the new girl will try and put a rift between Jim and Pam and try to seize that to be with Jim. Jim isn't an opportunistic douche who would cheat on Pam. They may end up drunk at sometime and she will kiss. Jim will hesitate at pushing her away, but will. They will say nothing to Pam, but she will find out. It will become a huge deal, they will go to marriage counciling and everything will be ok.

^Yeah, that sounds like the next few months worth of storyline and it doesn't really appeal to me. As soon as they announced that both would be going to Florida you knew where they were headed and it was an 'oh brother' moment. Even then they felt the need to spell it out at the end of the episode.

When does Parks & Rec. come back on?

I hope he does. I hope they just run this train straight off the tracks by the end of the season, so that there's no hope more seasons will be picked up

But honestly, the plot is pretty 2-dimensional / predictable at this point. I just want to see Michael Scott again.

Pam is a brick at this point. She is no longer the cool girl she used to be. If someone based their office views off of Seasons 7 and 8, they would have no idea what someone meant by saying "I want a Jim and Pam relationship".

I hope Jim gets it onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn like donkey konnnnnnnnnnnnng

The fact that they spelled it out at the end of the episode makes me think that it is something different entirely... Almost as if they did that just to throw people off.

I wouldn't be surprised if she was with some rival company or something and she is trying to lure Jim away to another job.
It just seemed too obvious to me.
