^Its a fair comment though, losing Russel we instantly become a worse match up for teams with good pass rushes.

In fairness to glennon I don't think they adjusted the offense enough to suit him. For instance they still want to do that read handoff when he's no threat to run etc.

Russell probably gets us 1-2 more games but we're not good enough otherwise. Also the defense is constructed to be more effective when playing from ahead too so not enough adjustment by the coaches there either.

Games aren't played in a vacuum. Picking up a few first downs instead of going 3 and out does A LOT for your defense. Scoring points puts pressure on the opposing offense.
