gotta like the "USA!" chants for Bernard James who served this country David Robinson style

draft-wise, what a shitty pick...27 years old? already past his prime, fuck his character, this guy will get arthritis before his rookie contract is up

Yeah crowder at #34 is obviously the best pick of the draft besides Davis at #1

Nice pick by gsw. Stupid though they could have taken him at #30,so they have him locked up for four years instead of 2.

But green in the 2nd almost makes up for drafting Barnes and a foreigner. Almost

did Cuban not trade away Zeller to Cleveland, then trade 3 picks including Crowder back to get Zeller?

I know Zeller was drafted by Dallas then traded to Cleveland

ESPN made it sound like he was traded back for 3 players about 10 minutes ago

i'm open to enlightenment though

Nah, Cuban didn't trade him to Cleveland and then re-aquire him from Cleveland. That was just the official announcement of the trade.

they announced a trade a few picks ago, dunno why they'd re-visit a trade from an hour ago

He's just some weird Jewish guy from Maryland. If you set foot in rockville, Maryland literally the whole town is exactly like that guy so he'd be really difficult to identify.

You don't think he's weird? He went to the nba draft dressed in full vazquez gear just so he could dance when he got drafted. Unless they're really good friends that's pretty weird

I don't think he's just weird

He's a multi-layered technicolor onion of disgusting self-indulged goofiness and is either an off-the-charts prick or just a regular guy from the state of Maryland, can't tell

He's amazing. I love him.

he made the finalists pool, which is obviously impressive. But, K was 99.9 last week basically saying he had no chance of making the squad

So Austin Rivers is basically Mario Chalmers but without the athleticism, the dribble drive penetration and the passing. Am I right?

chalmers played 3 years at KU and is now 28, rivers is 19. when chalmers entered the draft he was already much further into his development, and even then probably was not much better at penetrating or at passing. rivers is going to be a poor mans kyrie irving.

Rivers will be more like a poor man's keyon dooling. Chalmers is a quality player. No comparison

Rivers as a freshman: 43.3% FG, 36.5% 3FG, 3.4 RPG, 2.1 APG, 2.3 TOG
Chalmers as freshman: 44.5% FG, 37.5% 3FG, 2.2 RPG, 3.8 APG, 2.7 TPG

Basically the same player. One grew into his game and became productive. One will never, ever do that?

It's nights like this, where you stop and look at the Knicks' roster and remember that their biggest draft day story was their star player tweeting a gay slur to someone, then you think about their options over the next few years and how much money they've already spent and how little they can possibly do and just how relentlessly mediocre everything is .... These are the nights when you realize the Knicks are the most depressing team in the NBA. GRADE: F"

Yeah, but Rivers is a chode who thinks he's the 2nd coming. I think that will ultimately hinder his progress.

Chalmers knows his role and plays it well.
