Yeah we know how this will end, again, the PA will counter and the owners will say "oh we already made enough compromises" and say that they're done. and talking will stop. again.

Sweden beats Russia in a shootout (why are there shootouts in the knockout rounds WTF). Stunners for both Canada and Russia. USA will face Sweden for Gold at 8 AM Saturday morning (NHL Network).

That will be the first game I actually get to watch in its entirety in this tournament.

They'll probably get my money. I ain't even that mad. But, that's probably their biggest problem. I learned something the last few months that I never expected to learn: I don't need the NHL as much as I thought I did. It's always been a huge part of my identity, but I found that nothing really changed without it. That might have been different if I lived in Raleigh still, but up here not having the Canes to follow probably improved my social life. Plus, I've enjoyed devoting more time to Arsenal and NC State.
