What a horrible miscue at the back for Celtic.

Laughable really.

Who you got in the Bernabeu today?

I don't trust De Gea and if Phil Jones isn't in the team sheet then I get worried for ManU.

Xabi/Khedira/Ozil/Modders/Essien > Carrick/Cleverly/Kagawa/Valencia/Nani

3-1 Madrid

Those motherfuckers at Fox are doing a free trial for anybody interested in watching the United beat down today.

but if there are any other knowledgeable fans like me that would rather watch United get their shit kicked in without listening to Gus Johnson and Warren Barton, you should find a steam instead. and you really have to fucking hate Warren Barton too, gotta know how much he sucks, how much Fox sucks, his philosophy of being a fucking moron and all of that. If you don't know at least that then go to a bar with some real United fans

Met up with wazza31 about an hour ago to watch the game. This guy missed 45 of the 50 questions on my meticulous United history quiz! Poser!

I left the bar and went home.

How is anybody complaining about those yellow cards. RvP was clearly looking at Ramos and not the ball and put a hand to his face. Then Valencia leads into a challenge he is never going to win with his elbow. Both clear yellows. And I fucking hate Ramos.

That doesn't really matter. He was looking more at Ramos than at the ball. That's something referees are trained to look for because it shows absolutely no intent to play fairly. Kind of like blatant shirt pulling. That almost always gets a yellow card too.

think this would have been a good game for Nani to start in place of Kagawa. he hasn't been in the best of form but he's the kind of player that could have run at people and made things happen. especially considering United's gameplan seemed to be lumping the ball forward without any thought.

Ginjaninja it was a fantastic match. Back and forth and lots of chances. Great result, despite the incompetent ref. RVP should have finished his chance. I am just glad Mourinho can't come to Old Trafford and park the bus.

A scoring draw is usually a good score in the away leg, but considering how Madrid has done against us at OT in the past, I'm still a little nervous. I think we surely go through if we score the 1st goal at OT.

West Ham in the CL now? You got your Andy Carroll shirt on?

If Bayern doesn't shit the bed in their own stadium we'd still be in it. They can get us back by beating the ever living fuck out of Arse though.

You have no hope of even scoring in Germany so the play should probably be to try and be down less than 4 goals on the return leg.

where are you guys coming up with this stuff? No hope of scoring in Germany? Yes Bayern's defense is good but this is a champions league match, Arsenal isn't going to lay over and die. I fully expect a close match and wouldn't put it past Wenger to spring a tactical surprise or two.

He's not allowed on the field. I can't see how you expect an elderly Frenchman to score a winner when he can't even play.

^^Sure he can. I was only talking about the quoted portion. Arsene hardly ever changes tactics, regardless of opponent, and his substitutions are incredibly predictable.

Combine that with the simple fact that Bayern have a better squad, are on fire in the Bundesliga, and Arsenal have a few injuries in an already shaky defense. I don't like our chances, but freaking Chelsea won the UCL last year, so who knows.

I have seen Arsene make plenty of tactical changes when he has the players available to him. Walcott and Wilshere are raring to go and with Arteta back it should solidify that midfield. Diaby is fit and if he can stay fit and find some of that early season form it will help. Where Arsenal are hurting is defense. Nacho Monreal helps, although Vermaelen is a big loss. Kocieney could provide vital cover. Padolski, Wilshere, Walcott, and Arteta may just be enough for Arsenal to win that tie. Over two legs, I think Arsenal have a very good chance.

I realize Arsene's substitutions have been fairly predictable, but he has hardly had any players, and even less impact players on the bench this year.

What did y'all think about Gus Johnson. I thought he did a really good job. I know he might upset some "purists" since he has no soccer attachments.
