and from the list i posted on the first page using rpi/kp ratings to get the teams, it was right on 478/50. Misses were picking Southern Miss, Villanova and UVA (all of which were in the last few in using that method). Not too bad. But not outstanding either.

They scored 48 in that second half. They are very capable of filling it up.

They don't do a pure s-curve with the top 4 seeds. Each group is ranked 1-4 and slotted geographically unless it would put them against someone in their own conference.

The #1 seeds all fell into place once they ranked Louisville over Indiana. It appears they ranked the #2 seeds Miami, Duke, Georgetown, Ohio State. The #3 seeds all fell into their natural best fit geographic locations. By the time you get to the #4 teams, they're just trying to avoid conference clashes, which is why Michigan had to go South since the other three brackets had Big 10 teams.

I personally feel they should try to even out the talent in the brackets instead of do it geographically, but they don't ask me. I'm sure Duke would have rather been ranked #7 or #8 instead of #6.
