Didn't realize until this week that "After Dark" is on TVGN this season (which is available with standard TWC cable package in Raleigh area) instead of Showtime. Started DVRing it this week. Seems like there's a lot of dead time during the 2-hour episodes. I find it most interesting when "Big Brother" tells the house guests to "stop singing" or "you aren't allowed to talk about production". 7/25/2013 6:04:57 PM |

Copyrights and I think they prefer to kee what they do for casting etc outta the public
Cuz sometimes they talk about stuff that they went through during casting and they can't talk about discussions in DR

I don't really think it matters who she put up, she'll be back to going home or on the block next week. Should have gone ahead and got Elissa out, but America will probably take care of that. Just depends on if the house wants Elissa or Howard gone. 7/29/2013 11:22:33 PM |

man howard is right
theres a bunch of bitches in the house and Amanda and mccrae are gonna walk away with the cash.
id fuckin wanna go home too. everyone is up amanda's ass and doing what the house (amanda) wants.
this is my first full season and even i can see that. I looked up strategies of the best BB players historically and i realized how right Howard and Spencer are about it.
Theres no real alliances, they think an alliance is voting to get the same person evicted.
Everyone sucks the HOH dick, all up in the HOH room an then the next week they all go to the next HOH. Ive wondered why i have such a hard time figuring out anyones objective, bigger picture, or what "game" is being ruined by XX HG because it doesnt seem like anyone has any game except amanda. Shes the one thats been making the decisions.

if i sound stupid let me know. This is just an impression I get based on reading stuff and listening to Spence and howard.
because I mean, Howard sat the whole house down and told them what amanda and mccrae are doing in FRONT of Amanda and McCrae. Amanda is on the block RIGHT NOW and no one mentions what Howard said and they are all still listening to McCranda on who to evict.
It just seems spineless to me, Everyone lies in this competition why does McCranda get to decide that Howard needs to go. They completely made Aaryn waste her HOH 7/30/2013 12:42:55 PM |

BB is always at its best when there are clear protagonists and antagonists (or at least two clear sides), whether or not you love or hate one side or the other. This is always at its best when each side scores victories over the other, and everything is kept within a certain balance.
Aside from Aaryn, there really isn't any other antagonists left. but there is clearly the howard/spencer/candace side and then the Helen side with her minions (elissa/andy/jessi/GM). i think amanda and Mcrae are with Helen for now, but not much longer. but that side tips the balance way out of whack with H/S/C side.
but things always seem to happen to balance. i was rooting for Aaryn (despite my hate for her) to put up A/M or Helen with one of her minions. Also, there will be a double eviction at some point, which usually does some serious damage in the house.
i remember that one season where the 'weak' players in the house all rallied together with the fire captain from NY (Eric???) ... they wiped out everyone else and that was the worst snoozefest of all time. this season has the potential to be that boring if something drama-tastic doesn't happen soon 7/30/2013 12:45:37 PM |

and why dont they talk game "sneakier"
i swear like elissa is always washing dishes...wouldnt that be a great time to strategize? It doesnt actually look like youre talking. They always sit down on a bed in the community rooms or the living room or in the hot tub and discuss business.
Hell, Candice and Amanda where talign game stuff a few nights ago in the have not room...and elissa and helen were literally listening through the door!
then those two walked in and jumped in the conversation...started talking about Gina Marie....then SHE walked in the door to talk about how someone stepped on her pajamas and then quickly walked out. I was like "WTF i know she listened before she showed up in there and just thought os some excuse to go kill that conversation lol"
crazy, please tell me they have been less obvious in the past than these chicks are this season.
everybody just talks out in the open, hangin out in groups of 7 and 8 in the HOH room and then they are ready to jump on someone when info gets leaked. 7/30/2013 4:17:21 PM |

Seems like it would be hard to do without knowing when to time it and stuff.
Also, Helen has got to go. She has gotten extremely power hungry and thinks she is running things. Plus, she is super annoying with her over-the-top excited all the time dance and scream.
And why does Amanda have to show off her cleavage in EVERY outfit. Even the challenge costumes, she is the only one with her breasts hanging out every time. She needs a lot of attention obviously. 8/1/2013 10:46:59 AM |

Andy ain't a floater; he's firmly with McRae/Amanda
that trifecta, by far, holds the most sway
Judd was with them, but they recently cut him out, unbeknownst to him

This season nearly everyone is the definition of floaters. Floaters are those who try and just make it to Jury so they can get the cash bonus. Most of them haven't even tried in competitions and have just had things handed to them (Elissa, Helen, Andy, Amanda, McCrae, etc).
Yes both Elissa and Helen have won a competition but they were easy more luck based and the MVP power is what has put the two of them in a position of power. And McCrae only won HoH week one when half the guests dropped out intentionally because nobody wants to win week one.
They have openly discussed on the stream how all they want to do is make it to jury and they dont care about winning. Helen, Elissa or Amanda will win this season and it will be dumb as shit.
Judd/Aaryn/GM/Candice/Howard/Spencer could've easily formed an alliance and taken the house over, giving any of them a legit chance to win. Instead the annoying as fuck alliance has held power since week one thanks to the MVP. 8/2/2013 7:02:15 AM |

I agree with most of the comments being said here thus far. But of course I would like to add a few
-The POV competition exposed those 5 people for the idiots they are. Seriously, did not a single one of them think to put the puzzle pieces together on the ground first, so they wouldn't have to fight gravity?!?
This whole Aaryn/Candice thing rubs me the wrong way. Maybe it's b/c of my POV as a WASP, but I felt like Aaryn's comments (at least the ones shown on TV, not After Dark) were at most insensitive, not racist. When Howard said that ordeal was one of the toughest situations of his life I couldn't help but roll my eyes. I feel like Candice loves to play the victim. She tried to turn Aaryn's "giddy up" comment into something with racist connotations. She brags about being a speech therapist and then mispronounces words all the time on the show. She gets pissed when someone (mainly Aaryn) makes sterotypical cracks at her, but then she turns around and acted like a stereotypical angry black woman when she had her "house meeting". And then after not being a have not she proclaims that she can't wait to eat a lot of fried chicken. Might as well start walking around constantly eating watermelon at this point.
It blows my mind that NOBODY is trying to take out McCrae or Amanda. They're obviously the strongest duo so it makes complete sense to break that up and eliminate that power. 8/2/2013 9:47:35 AM |

IMO, Andy is absolutely the quintessential definition of a floater. Just because he might be in an alliance with McRae and Amanda (which I'm not 100% sure that he is because he has zero gameplay) doesnt mean he isnt floating along on their coat tails.
It sucks that the houseguests have eliminated all of the physical threats in the house already. this is shaping up to be one of the most anti-climatic finishes to a season ever. I miss the days of Mike Boogie, Evil Dick, Howie, and Dr. Will 8/2/2013 11:29:48 AM |

Yeah this house sucks. I was going to avoid spoilers but I started reading them a couple weeks ago because it has been so boring. Nearly every cast member in the house right now wouldve been eliminated in the bottom 3 in practically any other season. None of them are competitors.
Thats why I wanted Nick to do well he at least seemed like he was playing the game and if not for the MVP we would probably be looking at a moving company/amanda final. Would have been a betyer story line at least. 8/2/2013 11:39:33 AM |

So now Jessie, spencer, and Candice have had arguments with her.. Too bad one or two of them will be on the block and won't get to vote. Be nice if Judd, Helen or Elissa would get behind them.
How does a double elimination work? This is the first season I've watched 8/2/2013 5:47:43 PM |
BigHitSunday Dick Danger 51059 Posts user info edit post |
I actually agree with TKE TEG mostly. Aaryn strikes me as at worst, insensitive and horribly tactless. She also seems to be a very morose individual...you can tell the wa she talks about people she dislikes at the moment no matter what color they are, she digs deep and says the most hurtful thing possible and pours it on with the most disgusted look on her face. I don't feel she is a racist. Candice is annoying and I think she had so many unfavorable interactions with Aaryn that she now attributes most any dislike to racism. Though it may be inaccurate, it makes sense that being in that house for 40 days with nowhere to escape would drive someone to that point mentally.
That being said, I read howard saying "this was the toughest thing ive had to deal with" as...it sucks to see a person you care about crying. Candice is obviously the type that cranks everything up to ten in her own mind, so I bet she cried ALOT and over everything. I think it is the fact that a good friend has been inconsolable is what was tough on Howard, not what was actually going on in the house because it seems howard was treated with nothing but respect the whole time.
I 100% agree with TEG in that America needs to GTF over the comments made in the house it shouldn't have any bearing on how we vote (I don't feel its even appropriate that we have a say) I would like to put a live feed into every viewers house when they close their damn doors...I wonder if their speech is angelic and tolerant all the time.
I think Amanda has really been saying some of the most fucked up shit in the house recently, violent threats, racism, legitimate bullying. No one seems to care because she is a minority; theyre stuck on a few comments the blondes have said awhile ago.
You say one bad thing and it makes you a horrible person that deserves to lose your job, your family, your friends, and your life. It is annoying to me, right up to this Riley Cooper dude...come on...the niggas in that locker room can deal with him without Big White Liberal's help. I promise. He aint gotta lose his job or earnings over it. 8/2/2013 5:50:45 PM |
