Why all the hate for Thomas? The starting QB for the year didn't get announced until late which means that Mitchell and Thomas were close to even before the first game. Yes Mitchell had a couple good drives on the first game but that doesn't mean he is the next P Rivers.

Thomas has been decent in the games so far. Not outstanding, but shit you have to have some reasonable amount of expectation.

and he has not been "ok." he is a bad qb. our coaches have done everything humanly possible to scheme around his weaknesses and they've done an acceptable job. but if sade didnt convert a 50 yard field goal we wouldve lost a game to a I-AA school largely because our quarterback could not move the ball against a team that lost to gardner-webb

The guy is average. We have had a lot worse, I don't want to know what the option would be if he wasn't here. He certainly isn't terrible. He just isn't amazing either. He is a backup who had to step in and we are 3-1. I don't get the hate on him. He has also ran for 2 Tds.

His stats are lacking. But his lack of touchdowns is a good bit due to our propensity to run the ball. how much of that is because Thomas is in there versus Doereon's philosophy overall? Who knows.
