We really suck. Our team has no identity. We aren't good at defense, are woefully predictable on offense and play stupid 50% of the time. We really look like a Sid Lowe team at this point. Selfish, bad defense, no fundamentals, etc. /oldmanrant

It is what it is, this is a mediocre team that will occasionally put on good performances. However, the offense is so unbalanced its not even funny. It seems like the only guys playing are Barber and the twins and Beejay still plays like a highschool player. Rowan shots a lot but makes little, but he's just a freshman so he gets a pass but the bigs seem like they don't want to play.

Henderson back would be great, but the bigs need to be better contributors. They have limited offensive skillsets and can they even dribble, pass, or even set screens?

I can't believe how bad Abu has been playing.

Cat is an upperclassmen, he's got too much experience to be playing that dumb at the end of the game.

Typical Gott team, they show flashes and some good individual play, but poor fundamentals and awful defense.

They'll likely play their way into the bubble when Henderson gets back, look like a decent team in the Tourney and then get overhyped before next year. Rinse. Repeat.

We are not playing ourselves onto the bubble. Our ACC slate is brutal and teams we beat last year like Miami, FSU, and Pitt are going to crush us meaning we will have an awful conference record.

Also we suck dick in the ACC-Big 10 tourney. I'm sure Swofford would be ready to just exclude us every year if he could.

Anya is the guy that always got picked because he has size, but has never progressed to having any more than that in his playing ability.

it's not completely why we lost the game but he was getting absolutely abused down low. Out physicalled by some less than impressive bigs IMO. Freeman and Anya only did slightly better but I expect WAY less from them.

This was a pretty much all-around loss with not even a moral victory in my eyes. MI shot better from the outside than we did - expected, but we got beat pretty bad in the paint as well, where I thought we might be competitive and if things fell right we would have a decent shot at a win. Instead we got beat handily in that aspect too.

If Rowan isn't hitting shots, he's completely useless out there. Sad we don't have any better options, because he's just clueless on defense.

Our guards have done ok as far as scoring this year. It is not great, but it is ok. Our biggest problems are ball movement on offense, defense, and the lack of a skilled big guy. We have no threat in the front court. Beating us is easy this year, just don't let the outside shooters get hot and you'll be fine. That's not that hard to do though.

The Martin's played with good energy. Cat was good in 1st half and totally disappeared in the second half, which we can't have with this lack of offensive talent. Our bigs have been pretty worthless this year, I miss the days of Hickson, Tracy Smith, Howell, hell even Ben McCauley had some moves on offense.

yeah for real, looking back at the Smith, Costner, Fells, McCauley days is like watching Wilson games. Just so much wasted potential. Gott would have taken those teams to the tourney easily. Javi wasn't great, but he was definitely a serviceable PG.

Looking back on the talent that Smith and Fells had, and how that never really got them much exposure, makes you think that them deciding to come to State was probably a mistake.

One of the reasons other schools are able to retain athletes is because they have bars with dancefloors and cheap beers that don't check id on most nights. This is what made franklin street so much fun for us. Cheating on every level lol.
