We got some bad calls and bad bounces, but most of it was on us.

Like I said earlier, games like this fully expose just how bad our offensive system can be. When you rely on your worst playmakers (bigs) to make plays in the high post, you're gonna see what we saw today. A million turnovers, awful shot selection, no flow on offense, and no driving lanes for our ballhandlers.

We need to go to back to the TJ Warren offense .... shooters on the edge, Yurt setting the high ball screen, Smith driving and dishing.

I didn't watch any of the game...but isn't it pretty standard now that when we go to Chapel Hill, the home cooked officiating is ALWAYS terrible very early in the game which helps to sink us for the rest of it? Not that it made a difference in the shit show, but it's so bad and so obvious I just don't ever bother to watch us play at Chapel Hill.

This happened at the end of the first half. They called like 4 or 5 fouls on them with a minute left so the fouls ended at like 10-8. After DSJ got foul 2 it was over.

I feel good about it... i did my good deed for the week. if it weren't for me and my truck my buddy who is a UNC guy would have wasted his two tickets and couldn't have witnessed that in person.

I like Anya better at 340 lbs. he's a liability either way but at least the fouls are worth it. I did witness him actually back someone to the basket far enough to where he could turn and score easily (like he should be able to do every time)

These 7 teams are all ranked top 25 in the polls and at kenpom.

Duke
UNC
UVA
Louisville
VT
Notre Dame

Let's assume all of those teams are more likely to make the tourney than us. We are then fighting for the last ACC spot with Clemson, Miami, Wake forest, Pitt and Syracuse at minimum (most of whom are likely better than us) with GT and BC not being slouches either. Add to that the way this team shits the bed on the road and our weak out of conference schedule and results (losing to Illinois will be a killer come selection time) and I just don't see a way to make the tourney short of a couple of those teams just completely tanking.

I can all but guarantee right now it will be more than 8</prognostications>.

ESPN projects 10 ACC teams in right now and the ACC has 11 top 50 RPI teams. A team or two might find a way to really screw it up (like us ), but any team that can go .500 or better in the ACC is likely in and it wouldn't be a big surprise for a sub .500 team to get in too. Last year 10 teams went .500 or better.

1, 2 and 5 lost their opening games against 10, 14 and 15. Duke lost to VT, then beat Georgia Tech by 50+. UNC lost to GT then beat State by 50+. State got blown out by Miami and then blew out VT, then got blown out. Miami lost by 15 to the same Syracuse team that lost by 15 to BC. So basically it's early and shit is crazy. Homecourt seems to be extra important thus far.

If you looked at our schedule before the season, realistically we should be either 2-1 or 1-2 in conference play thus far.
