Holy crap. They finally got people on the ground with cameras. This is what most programs will be doing soon. I think we took a lesson from Clemson to get this started.

^^They do that for "retired" numbers so they can still use them, but there's a requisite commemorative "NC State Legends" patch for the previous player who wore it. So when you see the Mario Williams patch that is Chubb wearing #9. Someone wearing #16 would have a Russell Wilson patch, and so on.

it's like some honorary thing the guys who wear #9 and #16 (RW and Mario) wear. looking at the roster, i think Chubb should be the only one wearing one. Jakobi Myers wore a patch when he was #16 but he's since changed.10/3/2017 10:46:45 AM |

Yeah I don't think they'll let just anybody wear the numbers. They aren't retired but apparently are given some special consideration. I do think the numbers around the stadium (Holt, Rivers, Ritcher, etc) are truly retired and nobody can wear those.
