What a load of absolute bullshit. Wake loaded the bases in the bottom of the 2nd, hard hit through the infield scored one, second runner tried to score and should have been called out at the plate.

Bailey tagged the runner in time, then tagged him again to make sure, and on the second tag dropped the ball. Runner was called safe, even though the first tag should have been enough to call him out.

Then on the very next at-bat, Bailey tried to pick off the runner at third and threw it into left field.

3-0 Wake.

It really is just a single elimination tournament with the top four teams getting a bye, but everyone gets to play one extra meaningless game for the hell of it (two extra if you lose the first round).

Since we won't get another shot at Louisville, winning tonight is the only shot we have at jumping into the top-8 (if we also beat #6 GT and #17 Miami/#23 UNC). But if we lose to an unranked FSU there's probably no shot.
