Ball has been nominated to one of the three final candidates of ROTY. I think he will get it. I was worried about Quickly could win the award but he was not there. Knicks was out too early. If they went to the Conf. finals then it's very hard to tell.

I actually would rather like Ball NOT to win this award. His value in the market would be higher and he may want to leave soon and pursue a bigger market or ask for a higher salary. He's free agent next summer I think.

In fact I think they will give him a qualifying offer on his 5th year, and then in his 6th year he would be a restricted free agent so the Hornets could match any other team's offer. He will be here for more than 1 more season.

He is a little bit overrated and hyped. He is definitely disappointed after recovering from the surgery. I would say keep him for now but don’t give up any opportunity to use him luring bigger fishes. Lakers traded his brother and acquired Davis.

I would say he's not as good as Kemba Walker. If he's put into UCONN elite team right now, can he lead it and win a national championship? I doubt that. He basically ignored UCLA's offer and chose to play pro basketball. He's not at the level of Kobe, Garnet or Lebron to be able to skip college. Even Zion goes to school for a yr before dropping out. Maybe it's still early to tell. But I'm pretty disappointed.

Since 2004, players have had to be 1 year removed from high school in order to be drafted to the NBA. Lebron was the 2nd-to-last class that could go straight to the league out of high school, I believe. Zion would have absolutely skipped college if the league would have let him go directly to the NBA.

I don't know why you are disappointed in Melo. He is only 19 years old and looks to be the best Hornets draft pick, by far, in many years.

^^Bouknight is a 6'5 SG who can score and move well without the ball, could be the 2-guard of the future if and when Terry leaves. Kai Jones is a 20 year old 6'11" very athletic center. We traded a future lottery-protected 1st rounder for him, so we essentially traded Devonte for him. He should catch many alley oops from Lamelo and be good on the defensive end. Scottie Lewis is a defensive oriented wing from Florida, and I don't really know shit about Balša Koprivica but he was one of Florida State's 7 footers the last couple years.
