if i claimed a ticket but didnt print it out and now do not have access to it.. will i be penalized for not using that ticket? One of my friends isnt using theirs so I can get into the game. I just dont wanna be penalized.

ok, here's the short and quick of it...

There's only a segment of students that lost their tickets, and I can't say why because some people will use that to exploit the system before they can fix it.
However, the arena certainly will not be empty--the majority of the student sections have been restored. And as a side note, there were only 15 guest tickets purchased for this game on demand, so it will be mostly students.

For those of you who still don't have them, continue to PM me your info....most of the people who have followed the individual directions I gave them have already gotten their tickets back

well, if you don't follow through with it they will most likely release those tickets to on-demand tomorrow morning....

they won't go to waste, but it is fucked up what happened (still haven't explained that, I know)

there is backup equipment being installed to hopefully prevent this from happening again, but that's all that can happen for now...
I really didn't want to get involved with the bball season, but damnit!

Figured I'd post what Adam Whitehouse sent to SG about FSU tickets:

SG,
As many of you have probably realized there was a recent crash with
the online ticket system. The server crashed on Sunday morning at
1am, after recovering the system yesterday, the data from Saturday
was lost in the process. Therefore, any student who went into the
system and got a ticket during the on demand phase on Saturday from
3am-1am Sunday, will not have their ticket shown in their account. We
have a list of people who logged into the system on Saturday so we
have certain ways of verifying peoples inquiries about their tickets.
As you get emails/phone calls regarding this matter could you please
compile a list and email it to me at senate_campus@ncsu.edu on a
periodic basis (i.e. end of today, tomorrow morning, and tomorrow
late afternoon). We will be able to accommodate these students with
tickets for the game, they will just have to come to the main box
office and we can verify their name on the lists that we have
compiled and check with who requested one before the system went
down. But let these students know that they will still be able to
attend the game but only if they actually had a ticket in their
account, which we can verify.

This is why I love the SWPC... Will pick up my front row side line seats today at 4:00, the same front row that I have sat for every single basketball game for all 4 years of my college career.

i'm sure there are several tickets that are left now because of this issue. i am positive that not all of the people who lost tickets due to this problem are going to go show up at the game and ask for tickets at the window. what is going to be done with the leftover tickets?

is there any chance that people who do not have tickets (and didn't lose any through this issue) will be able to go to the game, or are there just going to be a whole lot of empty seats in the student sections? i really hate seeing empty seats when i personally know several people that would go if they had a ticket.

Since the ticket from On-Demand was lost, it is possible that someone else got it because you weren't guaranteed to get the same ticket back. I would think it would be easy just to photoshop section/seat onto the ticket but I don't think anyone would go through the trouble to determine how Ticket Return does it's barcoding.
