Man, that unc-ch/clempson line looks way off to me. Granted unc-ch lost to VT and clempson started out with 17 straight wins but I still have to believe unc-ch will win by double digits or more. Then again when you see a line thats odd like that there is a reason and its usually pretty close.

Tennessee screwed me big time. I think they were up by 14 at one point in the second half and blew it. Damn, I hate Tennessee. Don't know why I went with them to start with.

Anyone have a line for Duke/Wake tonight? I think Duke beats the hell outta them.

pay me half of what you pay that site, and i'll give you my picks

i do think the mavs will win though, but i think they'll start out really slow, and probably won't cover (like all their other games)

I always ask myself how much I would pay to see state win.

Then I bet that much AGAINST state.

If they win, then it's like I paid for the victory.

If they lose, at least I get some money.

Those last two plays are a microcosm of the game. Nelson's defender leaves him 2 feet form the basket. Fells blows a gift of two points and gets a technical. This is about to be an 8 point swing. Nelson 2 points + fells missing 2 + FTs + duke gets the ball.

God dam i am a Betting Golden God right now.

That over was almost EASY money.

I needed 8 points with like 5 minutes to go, and it was over with 2 minutes remaining.

How many picks can I just absolutely nail?

Alright initially I liked the Saints and if you already bet on the Saints I apologize. This is an easy game to bet on.

1) The public is HEAVY on the Saints

2) The game is in Chicago

3) Chicago has more playoff experience

4) Chicago has the better defense/special teams

People are scared of Chicago because of the Grossman factor, but if you look at the season as a whole Grossman just had a few MISERABLE games that really made people think he was worse than he was. One of those games (GB) didnt even count...

The only games he was bad (statistically) were against Minnesota twice (very good defense), Miami (very good defense), Arizona (miserable game and Az came to play), and GB (doesnt count).

Let me put it this way. If you bet on the New Orleans Saints tomorrow you are going against every gambling rule in the book. Don't do it.

As far as the NE-Indy game goes.... I just cant decide anymore. New England looked like pure unadulterated shit last week so I can't recommend betting on them. I think Indy can get enough stops to win and if the game is on the line you gotta like Vinitieri's chances against the team that let him walk. I'm thinking Indy moneyline is where its at.

I know this is a complete reversal of what I was thinking a week ago, but Ive had enough time to let what I saw last week really sink in. The heart says Patriots/Saints but Im gonna have to go with my head and bet on the two best teams instead. Colts/Bears to the motherfucking bank.

^??? THe Bears are -135 on most sites right now....

I think you meant they were -3 (+115)

personally i got -110 on Bears -2.5 last night which is pretty fucking sweet.

I got Colts moneyline at -163 and its going for -170 on most sites right now

I agree, Seahawks do not equal the Saints, Grossman has very little room for error in this game. My $$$ is on the Saints ... although they won't be playing in their Dome.

Who has been playing on the Bears?? a whole lot of nobody it seems...Bears were -3 (+115) all week which indicates HEAVY play on the Saints.

yea, i mean it's obviously bc of the weather, but i think brees is a better cold weather qb than grossman anyway (played at purdue vs florida), but i guess we'll see....i could def see it affecting bush who is kind of fumble prone anyway.

lines have moved up since yesterday, at least on tradesports

yeah money has been shifting today...but just today. means the smart money is coming out late...try not to buy into the Saints hype...it will be a close game but the Bears should win it. Teasing the Saints to +10 or something would also be a good bet though

The lines have been moving toward the Bears because of the bad weather.

But overall sportsbook shows 60-40 on the line is going with the Saints and 72-28 moneyline on the Saints. 69-31 overall on the Saints

Thats a HUGE disparity.

Here's Bill Simmons comment on it:
Quote :
"
BEARS (-2.5) over Saints
No, but seriously ... EVERYONE loves the Saints in this game. I can't remember a bigger bandwagon pick in all the years I've been writing this column. Even if you check any gambling site that gives you the percentage of money being wagered on each team, the Saints are getting 68-75 percent of the action. Everyone has them pencilled in for Miami. That gives me the willies. And since the other two "makes me nervous" components of this game (the Rex Grossman Roller Coaster versus a warm weather dome team playing in 30-degree weather) cancel each other out, well ...

The Pick: Chicago 27, New Orleans 20"

Almost all the analysts seem to be picking the Saints too.

Think about it. THis is the NFC Championship game. THere is some serious one sided action coming in on the Saints and Vegas isnt budging. This means there is some heavy 'sharp' action coming in on the Bears or Vegas is just manning up, sticking to their guns, and holding the value.

Newsflash, Vegas doesnt like gambling on sportsbooks anymore. They are more risk averse than ever now. There is HEAVY sharp action out there on the Bears today. I'm going fucking large.
