when i bought the car, it had no bumper support at all, and a full one wouldn't come anywhere close to fitting over the intercooler. i got those ends for free one from a friend and used them to literally support the bumper. that's all they're there for. no, they wouldn't help for shit if i actually hit something

Out of curiosity, why are you putting 315s on an Impreza? Unsprung weight will skyrocket, the turning radius will go to shit and any sort of road feel transmitted to the steering wheel will be completely destroyed....really drawing a blank here

Staying with the 352 would be cool if there are parts available to build it up. If not, would a 5.4 mod motor fit?

i'm pricing out all of it right now..

Ideally a big CID FE is in the lead but all the cross bolted main blocks are $texas.
(20k seems to be the min)

Just got a quote on paint yesterday and it is $18k-25k the car has no rust in it except the floor of the trunk and even minimal there... i couldn't friggin believe that number.

The mod motors will fit but make power brakes a mother fucker...

Down to 14k with all the chrome being done at a shop in apex...
and since he's going to have the engine and tranny out to do it he's gonna give me a deal on some other stuff.... like the tranny swap... and the installation of the new engine

Sounds more reasonable, especially given that it includes replating the chrome. Still expensive but you get what you pay for. Staying white, or going a different color?

(Yes, I know radiator would be easy, but I'm behind on a bunch of other shit and it's in the shop anyway. Only charging something like $170 in labor. I think that's fair.)

In other news, I also added a bottle of Bar's Leaks aluminum-looking shit to the radiator that's a ticking time bomb. I gotta get a new one, but I dunno how I'm gonna shit an extra 200 dorra right now. And besides, I don't feel like putting the damned thing in. Fucking turbo car with tranny cooler AND oil cooler in the radiator. I hate working on my own shit.
