Bramlage Coliseum has the largest student section in the Big 12 with ~6,000 students. Bramlage Coliseum has a capacity of 12,528. So the students have 47.89% of the seats. To put that in perspective if that was the same for us in the RBC Center our student section would have 9,445 students.

Now you may look at the seating chart I posted and think how can that be. The student section doesn't appear to come close to half of Bramlage Coliseum. Well most of the non-student seats are chair-backs. The largest crowd in history was 13,762 for the KU game in 1992. Adjustments to meet fire codes in the 1990s as well as the addition luxury boxes, chair-back seating, and meet handicap requirements lowered the original capacity from 13,500 to it's current capacity.

ESPN is using the overhead cam as their main view for the Kentucky game

hahah, friend of mine watching the game at a bar just sent this text: "yo, watching UK game, random idiot next to me just said "this angle is nuts, players will be dizzy as shit by half time"

hahaha

Bodog is currently giving Wake 23 points. Easy money on UNC. There is no way they win by a smaller margin than we did.

a few years ago they had the UNC/Duke game on ESPN and ESPN 2

ESPN had the regular camera angles

ESPN2 had cameras angles only from the top of the backboards, i think

it was pretty cool. i think they change the angles more often.

UNC is playing the best ball in the Roy Williams area.

They just dominated Wake Forest in all aspects of the game.

Kemba just did something I've never seen in a game. Threw it off the backboard from 20 feet on purpose, ran the lane, caught it and laid it in.

Dinner is served from 20 feet monus the dunk.

last year when the Lakers came to Charlotte, Kobe threw the ball off the backboard from the FT line and went up and caught it in the air and shot from about 6 feet out

didn't think id actually find it on youtube, but and behold:

Kobe's was what Kemba did. I've seen the dunk and lay-in before many times, but never the off the backboard from 20 feet on a shot fake and end up taking a floater in the lane.

That clip that dweedle posted is almost a carbon copy.

I remember doing that move with Glen Robinson on NBA Showdown '94 on the 'ole Sega Genesis. He'd take off from the top of the key, every time.

did anybody else happen to catch the end of the Duke game last night? They were slobbing on and on about how Kyrie Irving was such a fan of Nolan Smith and the biggest cheerleader they have, then showed a clip of Irving wearing a chain that had Nolan Smith's jersey as the charm. Looked pretty gay, like next you might see him wearing Nolan Smith's letterman jacket type shit.

Any reason why Uconn and Louisville are playing tonight? Power conference teams rarely play on Fridays, especially teams of this caliber.

Should be a nice distraction from watching Bill Simmons post up George Costanza in the Celebrity game.

Good game on ESPN2. Gregg Marshall (possible NCSU candidate?) Wichita State versus Shaka Smart (possible NCSU candidate?) VCU.

Former Charlotte high school and Wake Forest player Jamie Skeen plays for VCU as well.

Players diving on the floor for loose balls, hustling for rebounds and steals, this is how basketball should be played. Both of these teams are playing with a lot of heart.

So I went to see my first game at UT on wed (Horns Vs. Cowboys) and I was a little let down by the crowd and the experience, it was pretty much nothing compared to NC State which I found a little surprising because TEXAS is currently #2 and on their way to being a 1 seed.

However, the team played very well. They hustle extremely well on defense and run their offense to get good looks. They also have a couple highlight reel type big men, and Jordan Hamilton can shoot and move very well for his size.

That's not too surprising. The Frank C. Erwin, Jr. Special Events Center, aka The Drum, doesn't have a very large student section, plus Texas is a football school. Most of the people buy season tickets just so they can get/keep the best seats in football. It was built in 1977, and it's kind of a lackluster building and pretty ugly from the outside. I mean yeah it's better than a lot of college basketball arenas out there, but we're talking about Texas here, a school that has a ton of money and prides itself on having the best facilities.
