TT stepped up after getting punched in the mouth numerous times by nate et al. gotta give him credit.

Dude, our offense looked like shit in the 2nd half, RW was throwing prayers all game, and our defense was being picked apart. We had a number of questionable drive saving PI calls and horrible play calling/execution. Did I miss something?

Uncharacteristically bad decisions by RW in a couple key spots and the defense started arm tackling instead of wrapping up. Correctable mistakes but man is it disappointing to be spotted 17 and implode that bad.

i know i know but i think this game will be motivational and a learning experience.

still hopeful for our season even with the sloppy mistakes today. we weren't gonna go from 0 to 10 overnight. i'm looking forward to next week.

this game was basically a carbon copy of the boise/vt game

opposing team gets up 14-0 early, has to settle for a FG to get to 17 when they really shouldve punched it in to put the game away

squander opportunities while VT storms back

VT scores TD with 1:30 to go to go ahead. Offense gets a chance to win the game

we got out-coached by a veteran coach who made excellent adjustments

he has done this in two other games.

good coaches lose to JMU, but they rally and make the proper adjustments so they can win on the road against "ranked" teams

Obrien should take a lesson, I would like him to be our Beamer, successful, happy, but not too good to move to AL, FL, LSU, etc.

He reminds me of Sheridan. 4-1 is still good, and this should be a good learning experience for the guys.

i was at the gtech game nc state lost after going 9-0. this is the same shit. totally blew it. that team barely finished ranked iirc. get ready for the let down. this season finishes no better than 7-5.

^^^^ we're gonna give BC AND ECU a beating and hopefully get super hyped for FSU. sometimes the NCSU-FSU matchups have surprised me. i remember several that were just so stressful (like today's game) yet we ended up pulling it out.

Our team has improved.

We gave up 50+ to DUKE last year. Kudos to the defense in the first half.

We fought well today, and turnovers were the difference. They had some bad ones, in the first half, but none in the second.

We were lucky not to lose 2 stupid fumbles.

There are NO moral victories (except in CH), and I expect at least 8 wins from this team.

We blew that game (gt) like a fucking bunch of assholes.

We didn't blow this one. We had the lead, and the momentum changed. We had the chance to get it back.

It is hard as fuck to score a TD in 1:38 even with 3 timeouts.

had we had them with 4 min to go at 3rd and 23 and given it up, yeah, that was blowing it like we did against GT (which I was also at) and that was a carlface.

I'll bet cash that we at least get 8 wins this year.

i think what's so frustrating is that we all saw the potential for both our offense and defense to be downright dominant. we just have to really put it together for a whole game and maybe we just don't have the horses yet to do that. I really thought we could have exploited them more running it, my only real "play calling" complaint, if you can call it that.

Disgusted at the outcome of this game.

If someone had told me before the game that we would win time of possesion, run more plays, get more first downs, and rack up over 500yds of offense, I would have assumed a win.

The biggest problems in my opinion were missed tackles, giving up big runs, and of course the 3 INTs.

There were a couple of holds I thought didnt get called, but it might not have changed the outcome and it certainly doesnt make our performance any better.

I do think VT fans have got to look at this as they "escaped with a win".

I would also like to point out that this may be our toughest opponent of the season and we outplayed them in most aspects of the game. In the end, turnovers and big plays killed us.

I'd love a rematch.
