^agree.

Tolbert is doubtful this week. So is Michael Crabtree (currently on my roster) a better flex option than Mario Manningham (free agent...I'd have to pick him up)?

Daniel Thomas is out....FUCK! Two of my other RBs are out, and the only other RB I have is hardesty. Who should I Target off waivers in a PPR league....Keiland Williams, Stevan Ridley, Woodhead? Other rbs available are Cadillac, jaquizz, snelling, Ricky Williams.....basically a bunch of doo doo. Any suggestions on very deep sleepers at RB?

I picked up Hasselbeck in one league. Seattle actually has a pretty decent d but their offense sucks so they still suck. And Indy is pretty bad at everything.

^^^yuck, I would probably go with Woodhead out of those options. What about Roy Helu or that Tanner RB for Dallas? If they are available I would look at using one of them above your other options

pick 2 RB (0.5ppr):

Ryan Torain @ Buf
Steven Jackson vs. NO
Knowshon Moreno vs. Det (McGahee is out so he'll touch the ball a lot)

Looking like a guy is willing to give me VJax for Tolbert & Jordy. Good trade for me? I only have Wallace as a stud WR. I have DMC & McCoy at RB, with Green Ellis as my usual flex. I've had Tolbert in at flex about all year. Also picked up Battle a couple of weeks ago. Not sure if VJax is worth unloading all that potential but I'm desperate for a quality #2 WR. Thoughts?

^^I am in a similar spot (see below), and I am leaning towards Torain. Buffalo allows a lot of yards on the ground and I could see this being a tight game with a lot of carries for Torain. I would give him the edge over Moreno due to the Lions D and unfortunately for Jackson owners, even with Bradford out, the Rams don't run when they get way behind which is most of the time and you would think they will be today as well.

^SD has pretty much committed to Mathews getting the vast majority of touches, and Jordy is usually good for 7 - 12 fantasy points a week, but I wouldn't call him dependable. With Gates out, Jackson has been a pretty solid play but you depth at RB after DMC and McCoy is so great. What other WRs do you have?

Alright now I have a couple of questions of my own:

Pick one:
Torain @ Buffalo
Scott @ Seattle
DeAngelo vs. Minnesota

Stafford @ Denver (questionable tag and but going up against the worst fantasy D vs QBs)
or
Manning vs Miami (healthy, coming off a bye week, playing at home against the 2nd worse fantasy D vs. QBs)

I know Stafford is going to play but how well and for how long, not exactly known for his durability. Manning has been pretty solid all year (11 TDs/5 ints) and a top 10 fantasy QB according to ESPN (Eli 9th, Stafford 5th)

Stafford, Byrant, Cruz, and Rice (Floyd is playing hurt).

This thread sorta falls apart and losses it's purpose when people constantly post questions. If you don't feel confident or competent enough to provide opinons then that is alright, I'm just saying it is annoying.

^ I hate starting any receiver for NO because it's such a crap-shoot as to who will have a good game.

I would start Smith and/or Tate

Start one:
Olsen or Pettigrew?
Burelson or Floyd?
Ponder or Painter

I know, I'm in for a shitty week

ugh...down 29.8 with Vincent Jackson, Jackie Battle, Chargers K left (opponent is done). Playing Beanie would have me feeling better about my chances, I just knew the minute I played him, he would get knocked out 2 carries into the game.

idea for a week 9 defense?

Oakland (vs Denver)
Arizona (vs St Louis)
Atlanta (at Indy)
Green Bay (at San Diego)

I went ahead and snatched up Green Bay but I've got Detroit's defense from Week 10 on

^ Of those I'd feel safest with Atlanta.

So I'm up by 1, opponent is done, I have VJax left. How do you guys normally approach this situation? Do you play him and just add to your points scored, or do you just sit him and take the win in case he were to say make one catch, fumble, and get hurt? Would be terrible luck, but VJax seems like it's feasible with how brittle he's been this year.

Usually try to steer away from defences on the road. SD is going to move the ball. So I wouldn't think GB is your best bet. Probably a shoot out.

Arizon just gave up a lot of points to a putrid Ravens Offense in essentially one half and St Louis would have some momentum.

Indy has to win sometime, but I think Atlanta will lock them up. Probably a 24-13(or 17) win for Atlanta.

Oakland is tough at home and Tebow will probably put up good fantasy numbers, but you have to bet on a lot of sacks and probably 2 turnovers from Timmy. So I think Oakland is the best bet, here.

^^^you may get pinged by stat corrections. Would that suck or what?

I think you should play Vjax. you may need the points later in the year, and i'd say he'll be good for around 60-75 yards and 0.7 td's this game.

doubtful if he catches only one pass because he's hurt that he fumbles.

so i just got offered this trade proposal. let me preface by saying these are my current RBs and WRs

Fred Jackson, Steven Jackson, Michael Turner, Darren Sproles
Steve Smith, Dwayne Bowe, Wes Welker, Greg Little

Give:
Michael Turner
James Laurinaitis

Get:
Larry Fitzgerald
Kam Chancellor

I would do that, although I've never played in a league with D players so I don't have any advise on that side. Turner hasn't done much all year and the Falcons have been a disappointment. Fitzgerald is usually good for 75+ and a score.

see, it's actually been somewhat of the inverse as of late. which is why i'm even debating it.

Turner, before the bye week, was top 4 in RBs for yardage and TDs while Fitzgerald has only scored 2 TDs this season and hasn't topped 100yds in a month.

I lost my other big receiver (S. Moss) to injury and Turner never really gets a start on my team with F. Jackson being a complete hoss and Sproles getting so many all purpose yards. The team offering has already traded away Aaron Rodgers to try and get some other offensive help so he's not much a threat and picking up another top WR, though with a bad QB throwing to him, will only help me.

Up by 1 point with 45 seconds left. I have Gates, he has Bowe. No timeouts left for chiefs. Rivers will take a knee, Chargers kick field goal, I win. Rivers fumbles the snap, 2 plays later Bowe catches 22 yd pass. I lose by 1. fml.

Roddy White or Jeremy Maclin

trading Michael Turner for one.

I'm still waiting for White to really breakout this year. Maclin has had some good games but he can be inconsistent too. I think White might be more consistent, but probably won't have as many big games as Maclin.

3-0 in my leagues this week! 3-5, 4-4, 4-4...petty mediocre all around.

The guy who has McFadden in our league has Antonio Brown, Baldwin, Ochocinco, Santonio Holmes as his WR's.

Was thinking about trying to offer Matthews plus a combo/one of Dez Bryant/Brandon LLoyd/Pierre Garcon for McFaddeN?

Can a fair offer be made there? or is McFadden that much of an upgrade over Matthews?

So what are the chances Rivers turns it around the rest of the year?

Was thinking about offering Jahvid Best for Cam Newton.

Rivers is my starter at the moment, and the guy with Newton also has Tom Brady. His RBs are McFadden, Torain, and Stephens-Howling.

My other RBs are AP, Matthews, and Mendenhall (we start 2 rb, no flex)

thoughts?

Give:
Big Ben

Get:
J. Stewart
J. Freeman

I have Vick who I will most likely start every week. Current RBs are MJD, BJGE, Addai, P. Thomas, and Mo Morris (who I would drop if the trade is accepted).

Thoughts? I'm thinking yes. Need the RB help. Also, Stewart could potentially be a keeper (we keep 3).

dont assume vick will start every week...his chances of injury are higher than most. Dont like the trade...J Stew is borderline RB2 with Newton throwing it all over the place and DeAngelo in the mix. Josh Freeman has been ok but thats a steep decline from Big Ben.

I have McFadden. I would LOVE to have M. Bush, but not sure I want to overpay like this. It's not absurd, but I feel like he's getting the better end of the deal.

Who are your other WRs?

Even with McFadden healthy, Bush is almost as good a play as BJGE now IMO. Bush gets lots of redzone looks and the raiders are a running team. Faulk is going to take snaps away from Green-Ellis, since Belichek has a huge mancrush on him.
