If you're weak in RBs you might want to speculate on Ryan Torain (Den RB).

He's been injured since the beginning of the year with a dislocated elbow, but he is said to be 100% now. Pittman is the starter and Young has a groin injury so he should see some touches. A big plus is that Shanahan loves this guy and has talked about him fitting in pretty well there.

You would have to be really weak to go after a Denver back....

Ray Rice and Justin Fargas might be out there instead.

^^haha! I am. I have nobody for my RB2 slot. Gore's my main, but, unfortunately, I've been holding on to the Oakland backfield all season. Fargas and Mcfadden have been horrible and injury ridden all season. And my other guy, Julius Jones, started out great with Morris out, but has practically no value left.

I looked at Rice but thought with McGahee getting healthy, his touches would drop. I've also been thinking about picking up Dunn since Tampa's up against KC this Sunday.

I'm stretching.

Pick up the Chargers D (they should be available) now that they have Ron Rivera.

They will transform into one of the top scoring defenses in the league over their final 8 games.

I like Fargas this week versus Atlanta, but I've heard a lot of good things about Torain.

Its risky to take chances on Denver RBs, but if Shanahan likes one guy, he isn't afraid to use him. In fact, Shanahan isn't really afraid to do anything on the field, is he.

Just traded Eddie Royal for Fast Willie Parker. Good trade?

My backs are Jamal Lewis, Ronnie Brown, Reggie Bush, Rhodes, Benjarvus and Norwood.
WR: Colston, Moss, Cotchery

We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 1 RB/WR, 2 WR...

Gonna drop the Benjarvus.

I'm trying to trade someone Eddie Royal for Michael Turner...I have Reggie Wayne, Plax, Driver and Engram but my RBs are Lynch, Fargas, Rhodes, BenJarvus and Selvin

also good waiver wire plays this week:

- Buffalo defense vs. Jets
- Kyle Orton vs. Lions (I'm happy I got him in both of my leagues since I plan on playing Brees the rest of the way and this is the Saints bye week)

i wouldn't do that.

Of course, knowing full well that Royal is going to go off against Miami this week....but I'm looking long-term....I think Fast Willie can help me more. I hate unpredictable up and down WRs.

^^The Jets will score some points, but Buffalo will get a couple interceptions, maybe one for a touchdown...the Jets barely beat the Chiefs last week! But he has been known to ball out without notice

the game is also in Buffalo...I don't have a lot of other options...I could play WAS @ PIT which I don't love...Oakland is out there...Dallas is actually out there but @ NYG doesn't sound great to me

Would you guys start Fargas over whoever ends up starting for Indy whether it is Rhodes or Addai? I have a feeling it will be one of those situations where both guys go into the game preparing to get the bulk of the carries but only one does over the course of the game.

Fargas or Rhodes/Addai

That seems like a good match up. If I needed a WR, I would pick him up for this week. Anything to take advantage of Orton playing well, especially against the Lions. Plus, Davis had 6 rec for 97yds in their week 5 match up.

^ 13 or something.

Whats with the sudden Eddie Royal love?

Royal for Parker is a steal, and Royal for Turner is downright robbery.

Granted, I was able to swap Royal and Harrison for Andre Johnson, but that was around week 3 when Johnson looked like shit and Royal was looking great.

^^I guess it's potential. People see Marshall's numbers and on days when he is covered well, Royal can get those numbers too. I agree though, he's not worth either of those RBs IMO, not even close.

Yeah I'm really hoping that Twista was being sarcastic in his post. Because any league where you can trade Royal for turner... I want to play in it.

No I'm trying to do it. Dude has Chris Johnson, Marion Barber and Earnest Graham and aside from Andre Johnson, his other WRs are Dwayne Bowe and Patrick Crayton...he could afford to go RB for WR

plus in 3 of the last 4 weeks, Turner has less than 60 rushing yards and no touchdowns...Turner got 5 of his 6 touchdowns this year in home games versus Kansas City and Detroit, probably the 2 worst defenses in the league

Yeah, but Eddie Royal also has some pretty bad stats the you could quote.

Turner is definitely worth more than Royal, who is a gamble of having a shot at your WR2 slot. Turner could be a RB1.

^^ You could also turn that around and say that the only weeks he doesn't have 100+ yds and multi TDs are when he played Chicago, Carolina, Tampa, and Philadelphia-- all top ten Ds.

Royal has had only 2 TDs all season against San Diego and Oakland who have terrible pass Ds

I am trying to believe you aren't just trolling the thread here, but that is an unbelievable trade... for the other guy.

I originally offered him Donald Driver for Earnest Graham and I also offered him Driver for Chris Johnson...he countered with Earnest Graham for Reggie Wayne and I laughed at him...then he expressed interest in Eddie Royal a couple weeks ago...I doubt he takes it but he is pretty bad at WR and pretty strong at RB...my league would probably veto it anyway

Oh sorry I misread as well. I thought you said you WERE trading Royal for Turner. And yeah, I think Turner is massively overrated, I swapped him for Gore a while ago. And I definitely agree with offering random trades, you never know what people will accept. I'm always sending out 2 for 1's or random buy lows and sell highs. I pretty much always have the maximum trades available being offered on yahoo Most of the time they might get rejected, but I've had some nice trades go through.

so, here's an update from my big money league (winner gets $1k), I started out 0-4.

I made some key adjustments to my team (most notably trading Steve Smith for Clinton Portis) and have since won my last 4 games in a row.

10 man league, PPR, 10 yards/1 pt rushing/receiving, 25 yards passing. .5 pts per reception, etc...

my lineup now consists of:

Warner
Wayne
Colston
Burress
S-Jax
Portis
Gonzo
Bironas
Tennessee's D

K. Curtis
DeAng. Williams
T. Hightower
Big Ben
Mewelde Moore
Phily's D

Now, I know no one cares about all of this, but I have set through 3 years and 150+ pages of giving advice....it's time to throw something out there for a second.

What is everyone's thoughts on playing Phily's D (who's offense should be potent this week) against a hapless Seattle offense led by Seneca Wallace AT Seattle, over Tennessee at home against Green Bay (who has much more firepower on offense).

Interested in feedback.

good news for us Addai owners

Quote :
"Joseph Addai and Bob Sanders are both absent from the Colts' Week 9 injury report.
This is an excellent sign and they can both be counted on to play against the Patriots. If Dominic Rhodes' ankle problem proves serious, Addai will have no competition for carries against the NFL's No. 14 run defense."

Addai practiced with no problem today and Rhodes missed the entire practice

Rams running back Steven Jackson is going to be a game-time decision, and his chances of playing are about 50-50, according to the Belleville News-Democrat. "You test it Sunday. You don’t know if you go too hard on Friday whether you’ll tweak it," Jackson said.

Jackson has a strained quad. He is a quality fantasy option against most teams, and Arizona is no different. Be sure to check Sunday morning for his status."
