We have to go on a run, I feel like Cam is gonna play out of his mind the last few weeks. If we can get back to 8th or 7th we can hang onto it. Not playing while allowing Buffalo to catch up at least let's us know what we have to do to get a spot.

Still have to worry about Toronto, they were hot before the Hawks polished them off. I imagine they will stay hot. Buff is playing good hockey.

I could see the Rangers falling off although they just smoked the Flyers. Flyers haven't been playing well lately though.

Larose is -18 on the year. As Sutter's line is mostly our shut-down line, I can't agree with Larose moving there. I would rather see him on the 4th line and put Dwyer back on the third line.

I will agree that it is a strange coincidence, but as far as any of the excuses go... I mean come on!!

If the NHL were to be "rigged" in any way, Toronto would have been in the playoffs post lock out. Or more than a 1st round exit or whatever it is.

It probably has something to do with the weather in Raleigh, though.

Rest of the way predictions:

Thrashers twice - should win

Caps twice, both on the road - split 'em

Buffalo twice - need to win both, will win 1

Tampa Thrice - need to grab 2/3, again though, will win 1

Columbus, NYI twice, Ottawa, Toronto - losing would be a huge let down, should win all 5 of these

Montreal, Detroit - home games that I see us losing

that would give us 10 wins, 6 losses. pick up an OT point or two = in as 8th seed. Lose those in regulation = out.

Lose 8 games = out.

Fulfill the Mo-Meter = In with 7th seed

I did no math to come up with these predictions, and used no statistics whatsoever.

I'll probably regret posting this is in some way or another in a few weeks
