Anyone know who has a large selection of Levi's for guys? No one ever carries the 510 in stores apparently, and I'm wondering if I am overlooking somewhere. I may just have to end up making a stop in at Concord Mills at some point to go to the actual Levi's store.

I went to Belks, JCP, Dillards, Macys, and Marshalls this weekend looking for Levi's 510s and no one carried them in store. I can get them online, but even in the same style I prefer to try them on as the cuts seem to change/vary slightly over time and it's been over a year since I bought my last 510s.

I don't think it makes you a hippie, but it probably makes you look like you're trying to be 17

high buns usually make me think of ballet/dancers. That's not a statement toward good or bad, just an observation.

if anyone is interested, Kohl's has 20% off all online purchases with BACK2SCHOOL promo code, Chase Visa cards have 10pts/$ (essentially 10% back) for purchases if you go through their reward mall link to start your purchase, plus Kohl's is doing $10 Kohl's Cash for every $50 spent.

We don't get a ton of stuff from there, but my wife wanted a few things that were already on sale + those codes to reduce them more, and I went ahead and got two pairs of the 510s (black and grey) I was talking about earlier because it was a great price with all that stacked as well.

I went there when it first opened and they used to have memberships, but I can only afford discount places now. I was always really pleased though. One of my students from last semester works there and she always had great hair, nails, and makeup.

We're going there to have our hair done for my friend's wedding at the end of August. Not sure what it usually costs as we are getting a friends and family discount since the bride knows of the employees, but I'm pleased with the price. I can report quality of service experience from a bridal party stand point after. They are letting us bring in snacks to munch on while we wait for everyone to get done. They will be doing hair for 7 people.

Anyone tried using glycolic acid to help with acne? One of the women at Ulta was really talking it up, but she was trying to get me to buy $150 worth of stuff. This seems like a more reasonable start with really good reviews:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000SASZ9K/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3HBRWYSBOHBQZ

If it helps with acne and prevents me from looking old that would be awesome!

They sell different concentrations. The 10% is the most popular but they suggest starting with the 5% to get used to it and then getting the 10 next. If you go too high for your skin it'll burn you, but what everybody needs is different.

Ulta lady also tried to talk me into a 10% citric acid product. She was talking about keeping a simple routine and at the same time trying to sell me a ton of different products so it was annoying.

I don't think glycolic acid peels or any other acid skin peels are good for you. Retinol derived products, I would discourage too. I heard it can thin the first layer of your skin. But this is probably over years and the acid strength play a role too. If you have sensitive skin, I would be careful.

I'd recommend seeing a dermatologist for acne or other skin issues. I think it's much cheaper in the long run just to go straight to a doc and get it addressed. There's also tons and tons of information online about skin problems so you can do your research in advance of your visit.

What's the word on exposed bra straps these days? Provided they're cute and color-coordinating, is this an acceptable look for a hot August?

what are you wearing that shows the straps? i can't imagine an outfit where it'd be a good look but you could probably change my opinion with some photos/examples.

this may be unusual but i actual wear a strapless bra 90% of the time. the victorias secret bombshell bra, once i started buying it in the right size, never falls down. but i don't have a lot to hold up so that may be why.

I haven't actually done it yet because I need your approval. But I have a bunch of pastel camis that are almost too big to wear so they're pretty loose. Is it cool to wear those with like thin, pink bra straps and some khaki shorts...like to the store, coffee, etc...it's about to be hot as hell, and I have a fantastic tan.

I was hoping it would be cool, but we're not off to a good start here. LOL

I wear sports bras and tees/tanks to work and since I lost a bit of weight most of my tops are a little big and you can almost always see the straps. My sports bras are full coverage so it looks more like I've layered two shirts, but I almost always wear a contrasting color now. Hot pink tee, neon green bra, gray tank, blue bra. I don't see the problem in a casual setting, especially since it is trendy to wear a gigantic tank that is practically see through with a neon strapless bra.

5% isn't a peel. Peels from what I understand are 30%+ The 5 and 10% stuff is an every other day type cream. Turns out it really doesn't get into pores like the Ulta lady told me, so I guess I'll just get a salycylic acid toner to use under my moisturizer.

Halp me fashionistas of TWW. I'm about to post some of dresses for sale on eBay, and am torn over these three. All I have worn more than once, so it's not a situation of "will I wear?" as it is more "should I wear?"

I'm wondering if at 30 it's time for me to say goodbye to this style dress.

Yes we all need an LBD in the closet, but I'm questioning this cut.

I love this dress, but same thing as the navy--at 30 is it time for me to say goodbye to this style? In these pictures I like how it looks from the front, but (excluding the racer back bra I'm wearing) from the back not so much.

A private poll of friends not on tww (well one is) says I should definitely keep the navy (1st) one. So that one stays.

Still torn on the other two though.

I really don't care for either of the last two, you could find a much better dress, I would say hello to the extra space and cash!

also, it would probably help you selling it to wear some heels in the pics (even if you don't really show them).

the dress will wear on you better, and it will give the potential customer more of a "vision" of how the dress is supposed to be worn.

What is going on in here?

elkaybie, 30 is not an age at which you need to reconsider your clothing, especially some beautiful dresses like these. Plus, you look good girl.

Gorgeous dresses. You look fantastic.

I know that doesn't help you decided which ones to keep, but it needed to be said.

sell the middle one for sure. but i like the third one the best. so um, i guess i'd buy it from you on ebay? hahaha.

the other thing i've learned the hard way is that what you want to sell from your closet isn't what you can move, necessarily. quite unfortunate, that.

Thank you
I guess maybe too old for this style is the wrong phrasing? Basically, I bought most of these when I was 25 and childfree. I think it's more of me feeling like these styles don't make me feel sexy in my post baby body (which is fine, just squishy less firm in some areas--working on it). I want to feel sexy when I dress up now for some reason (keeping the spark with my husband post child and whatnot) and these fuller skirt dresses do not do that. They just remind me of my 25 year old self and life pre kid. So while fun and great dresses, they aren't accomplishing what I want in a dress anymore.

But they're still appropriate for certain occasions so they'll stay. Well...the navy will. And i think the aqua will too, but the black is definitely going.

You all have been a great help thanks!!

Love those shoes!

Dresses that I'm selling are up on eBay. Already sold one! I've decided I will sell the black and aqua should I not get a good return on these. Aqua being next because I don't have many reasons to wear it, and it's going for quite the penny on eBay already. Here's the link http://tinyurl.com/knewb5v
