My mother in law is there now. In fact she interrupted my post with a phone call.

I am so jealous that your mother in law likes to shop as much as she does. I love my mother in law and consider her to be my friend, but she doesn't like to shop at all.

She bought me a bunch of baby stuff at pottery barn kids the other day and she is constantly buying me things that she thinks I need. Like new shoes and coach wallets.

Grrr. Mine doesn't even really like to shop for the kids. My mother used to go shopping for us all the time with her mother in law (my grandmother), but my mother in law hates to shop. *pout*

I use tweezerman LTD. They are expensive for tweezers, but you can ship them back to be resharpened.

Dropping them on the counter though fucked up the alignment so sharpening won't work. they may still replace them though. I lost my last set, so I just bought these a few months ago.

I've had my tweezerman tweezers for YEARS

they're the best. I like the angled tweezer the most.

I'll third tweezerman.

Lol. I read Bridget's post before the edit. I thought it was hilarious.

I check Goodwill regularly for oversized men's cashmere sweaters. They just feel so good.

Also, I had to go to Wal-Mart, and I got some Cuddle Duds fleece leggings while I was there. They are actually the bomb. Ten bucks a pair, and I'm going back for more.

The BF ads so far just aren't exciting to me. I'm not sure if it's becaue I already have everything I want, or I'm expecting a big doctor's bill in the mail.

Only thing I want so far is a $20 fuzzy blanket from Target and maybe one of their sweaters. No cashmere for me because the bastard cats climb on my shoulder and pull sweaters.

yeah, fuck cats. and I always make sure I'm wearing shitty clothes before I interact with my pets. which basically means I never wear my nice stuff. I still find feathers woven into stuff anyway I'm not sure i can bring myself to sit around in a $150 sweater at home, but I want to. Maybe it will help me save on heating costs?

maybe I should just get creative with a couple of moth-bitten sweatshirt-type sweaters I have. any experience stitching sweater material?

I found these yesterday and they're kinda awesome.

If you sew by machine, get a special ball point needle so it goes between the threads of the sweater instead of shredding them and you should be good.

I might do something like this to one of my sweaters: http://www.lyst.com/clothing/pinko-maliziosa-embellished-sweater-blue/
With more random placement it could cover up all sorts of holes and stains plus make it more trendy.

i have tactile issues and never wear bejewelled anything because it's so uncomfy. I do have some ballpoint needles. but does the material start unravelling the second you cut it?

I usually sew it first (take in the sides), then zig zag, then cut off the extra so I am no help on the unraveling issues.

i may just play it safe and do two rows of zigzag where i want to cut and snip in between them, though that sounds tedious.

I normally don't like lace, but man...if there were none on the body of the dress I'd be all over it. I'm between these two dresses. Nordstrom's Half Yearly Sale, right now. These Holiday appropriate?

i've decided it's not good for broad shoulders...which is my problem with a lot of sweaters...

if it fits my shoulders and boobs then i hangs like a tent everywhere else

I have the same problem with sweaters and shoulders/sleeves. The target ones and cheap enough I don't mind buying a size big and taking in the sides a little. H&M are pretty close to fitting as well, but I still have to go up a size sometimes to make the sleeves work.

What's even worse is that they think if you are a XS or S you must be 5 feet tall. If you find a place that sells tunic length sweaters (aka won't show my belly button to the world) with long arms plz post.

I'm 5'5" but I should probably try the tall places for shirts. Pants I'm ok with regular length.

i just avoid long-sleeved stuff whenever possible, and look for sweaters that have a double cuff you can turn down.

I'm dreading a return to early 00s fashion, half the shirts i actually paid for ended like an inch below my waistband. long live tunics and leggings. I'm scared that it's coming, I just bought bootcut jeans.
