In any other fucking industry, a company would be sunk if they released a product that was as overall, shitty, as 1.2 and then took THIS FUCKING LONG to fix it.

a week ago there might have been a handful of servers that hadn't upgraded to the new version.

Chances are that you have the "Same Version" filter checked on in your server browser.

I've been flying so much since the patch that I really haven't messed with armor much. Has something happened to make armor particularly weak to infantry attacks? I know that shots from the rear are supposed to hurt more, but I repeatedly saw today my tank take a front-on Eryx hit and go from full armor to maybe 3-4 bars. It happened at LEAST a dozen times and completely mystified me.

Nope, these were just plain Eryx rockets. The only thing I could figure is that I was being hit by two people simultaneously, but there's not way they could have done it in synch so many times. I only ever saw one rocket hit head on, and it REALLY HURT each time.

BT for BF2 isnt exactly cheating the system, more like a "hands on demo", since you cant play online without a valid copy, and you get a taste for whats new and if its worth it. Kinda like playing it on a friend's PC.

No, no, I have a legit copy of BF2 and Special Forces. I'm just a little skeptical about giving EA any more of my money for this latest content pack. I don't normally condone piracy, but in this case if there's a way to weasel around it, I may strongly consider it.

as far as the AA... it WAS harder, but I could do it IF they were coming HEAD ON to me it wouldn't miss (but they'd usually kill me with gun also) or 1-2 seconds after they flew by me if i could get the lock back in time.

as for missiles, i've always just shot them off after shit flies by or when they're flying right at me.

people get jittry when i get tone and drop their flares as soon as its solid. The trick is to just wait until the flares disapate and relock and kill them.

this isn't like SF, which is counted as a "mod". This is actually "built in" to BF2 so you'll see the maps when querying the master server list.

SO yes, these weapons will be in the regular game, but I don't think you'll be able to use them on certain maps.

This EA Downloader thing is a joke. My friends are ALL having problems trying to figure out which fucking accounts to use between EA, AOL, GameSpy and your Online Game account. Its fucking ridiculous.

Plus there seems to be some issues with EA's pages and Firefox which wont allow some people to retreive their passwords

Well I did find a download of Euro Force through a BitTorrent site. I think I'll give it a shot and see what happens. Worst case scenario is I get banned, but then I could probably rectify that by just buying the download.

you better hope you don't get a GUID ban - that requires an entirely new computer. as long as you believe there isn't any modified content in it you should be safe outside of a CD key ban...then you'll need an entirely new copy of bf2 and SF (if you bought it)
