i went to GameCrazy after i got off work at 12, waited around inside the store for about an hour & a half, and was the first to buy 1 of 4 wiis they got in today.

This is more proof of concept, I guess. I mean, it's really ugly, but Opera has only been available for 12 hours.

^^^^It turns videos on your computer into flash videos (like YouTube) and streams them to your Wii. So if you have a Braveheart avi you can watch it in your living room. And if you are having a party you can play mp3s on your TV.

The wiki claims it can handle most anything, but I don't know what all that includes.

Also, I can't get it to work for video. It encodes properly and I can open up the location on my computer with Firefox, but it just sits there showing the ajax loading circle using the Wii.

If anyone's in the area, I was just at the Best Buy in Burlington today and they had 15 or so of each of the wii-motes, the nunchucks and the classic controllers. I guess they are still hard to find but there seem to be huge amounts of them in some places.

I was getting piss poor performance on downloads and connecting to things like the weather channel and online shop. I changed the router channel to 1 though and now it works super fast.
