Sorry - wasn't clear about that. Obviously that was Simone who got shot - I'm talking about the person shown in the trailer. That was not Simone. I mean the potential for it just being a dream is there, I just think it would be strange for them to start showing the dreams of other characters, there would be no reason to show Isaacs dreams if all it was was him being haunted by Simone.

What if Simone works for Linderman and Hiro's father?

Would she not be "one of them" since that's how they do it according to the new old guy who is in charge of Bennent? (Whats that actor's name again?)

And what is Parkman going to do now? Is he Bennent's new sidekick?

I don't think Hiro's father and Linderman are necessarily together.

True, I guess it could be for either one tho?

And they way stuff was twisted around last episode, who knows who works for who.

Maybe Mr. Muggles is the mastermind behind it all. He's like the God-mode dog.

Best episode yet, but I'll admit, the first "flashback" I thought "Oh boy, don't let this turn into Lost." I, and the rest of the world, cut Lost off after that.

Also, it said something like "building up to the last chapter.."

WTF, does that mean this killer show won't have a season 2?

they might do it comic book style....this storyline will wrap up, and another will start. I'd personally like to see 2 season sagas....take this storyline through the first season and end it at the end of the 2nd, then start another.

^^^ i really like that idea. It definitely makes for more natural story telling. I think shows like Smallvillle or Lost falter because they drag out plotlines too far; they try to fit the show in the convential context (show does well, gets more seasons; actors are hot, get more screentime; etc.) when, if the show is doing well, it will do best to let it go only where it needs, i.e. end it when it's right.

I think if they started a new storyline, they could show the journey of a different cast of characters, who would maybe loosely form a separate group from the Petrelli gang. They could also have crossovers with original characters and definately have run ins with HRG's organization. Maybe in a series finally, everybody meets up with everybody.

It wouldn't work, I'm sure eventually the cast will get a big overhaul if the show drags on too far but I cant see them changing the majority of the cast ever few seasons. It would be a baddd idea.

Ultimately, continued good writing will determine the fate of the show. As I see the situation now though, Peter is well on his way to becoming a supreme badass, Sylar is not going to be a match for him, and soon the nuclear Ted/Peter disaster will be resolved. During and/or after this, we will likely be seeing Peter/Hiro/others form some sort of "Justice League/X-men" . After these situations, what will the writers have to show us for the several (assumed) followup seasons? We will have already seen a super villain plotline and a mass disaster plotline, as well as a super-power dilemma (peter-ted power absorbtion). We will be left with the Peter-Hiro coalition at the top of their game, so what follows might be expected to be less interesting than the buildup to that point. Simply put, the writing challenge will be to make the show interesting without reusing the same plotlines.

I won't prejudge the writers creativity, but I could see the show reaching a "they lived happily ever after" point after 2 seasons.

they'll change villians

exactly like a comic book

it's not like they only had 20 chapters of superman, batman, or spider man and then end it

but there are like 1,000 villians

True, but I will be saddened if the show ever devolves to the Kryptonite villain of the week scheme that Smallville has heavily relied upon.

I think the best thing Heroes has going for it is that it's not black and white. I love characters like Mr. Bennett and Nathan Petrelli. Black and white characters also exist, as they should, but they don't compose the majority. This aspect of the show alone will ensure it can go far, since real people are complicated, and such complication often makes for a not straightforward resolution of events.

I think at some point a new villain is going to be introduced in the form of that giant ass monster from the comic book Micah was reading in one of the first few episodes.

i hope they don't introduce ridiculous villains, like monsters or dinosaurs or shit. the best thing about heroes is that it's semi-realistic (especially some of the villains, like mr. bennet).

was he reading a 9th wonders comic book? i only vaguely remember that....but that would be pretty cool.

i think we'll see three coalitions at some point: good = peter, hiro, others; gray = HRG's organization; evil = linderman, jessica, others (to be seen). Plus, there will be independents floating around who won't want to associate with a particular crowd.

^ yeah, I could see it depending on how much of his memory was erased. I could definitely see a tragic hero kind of situation where Bennet does not remember what has happened and ends up going against his daughter. He may think that he was doing what he was supposed to do, taking her in, when he was shot so he sees her as an enemy rather than how he should see her.

There are so many small story lines that they have left open, it seems as if pulling it to a close by the end of the season will be somewhat difficult.

The show has definitely been great for NBC, and it doesn't surprise me that they've ordered another season, but making sure they use different plot lines will surely make or break the success of Heroes in subsequent seasons. A neat idea would be a storyline from the next generation of Heroes... but that's probably too far into the future.

I'm thinking that this next episode is going to end with a Sylar/Peter showdown. This is the last episode till late april, why not end it with the two most powerful characters meeting up (because the trailer has already shown them together).

But really, this show delivers and shows tons of promise. I hope the writting can stay halfway decent and not turn into a horrible shit fest like BSG seems to have, IMO.

Amen to that. Sometime I wonder if NBC broadcasts two different episodes each week when I read some responses in here.

That being said, this show has shocked me more than once so far, so I don't mind people's far-fetched ideas. They might be right, and I know I've been wrong on here before. >.<

Now if anyone goes and says something that's wrong about what's happened so far, I'll be here to correct you.

I really like this thread, and I'm pleased to see that it's at 42 pages now. Lots of people interested in it and sharing their ideas, even if they aren't what everyone else sees. It makes this thread better.

I believe Sylar actually rewrites his DNA to get his powers, and I don't think that any injection will change that. However Peter's power seems to be based on remembering how the people with powers made him feel, so the Hatian could take away the powers he has picked up (if he could get close enough)

peter will get so many powers that he will become godlike and decide that he knows what is best for the world. others will gather against him to take him down.

either that or something like the supreme power comic from a few years ago

There has to be a reason that Hiro came from the future to tell Peter to save Claire - besides the fact that Claire was in danger. Hiro was totally in his superhero-getup, so obviously he's still needed in the future. I see them turning towards why the heroes are still necessary.

it may never happen. he was talking about peter in the future, and telling him he had to save the cheerleader.

now that the cheerleader has been saved, peter has her healing power so i don't really think he would get a scar. i'm assuming that the cheerleader wasn't saved the first time around, in which case peter wouldn't have ever gotten her power.

perhaps it wasn't that it was important to keep the power from sylar as much as it was to give the power to peter.

proves that the whole ninja Hiro scene in the subway wont happen now....as long as Peter doesnt lose his powers

doubt it's a plot hole

i think if we ever see peter get a scar, or just see him with one period, it will be the "future peter" from the same future that hiro came back from, where the cheerleader had not been saved. but as long as peter has that power i doubt he will get scars.

how are we going to see "future peter" from that timeline if it's not possible for that timeline to branch off the one we're currently working on?

well the simple answer to that question would be that if the creators decided to show you that.

hiro came back from that future and we saw him, what is so crazy about the idea of seeing other "future" characters? most likely hiro would be involved if this were to happen, although there's always a chance that there could be an episode where they are just like "this is the future, yo" kind of like the one that was 6 months in the past awhile back.

there's plenty of things they could choose to do with the show, so i really don't think something like that would be out of the question. i just don't think we will see peter get that scar unless it's under the pretense that he has somehow lost claire's power or that it's the future peter in the timeline where claire wasn't saved. although that kind of makes me wonder, how the hell wasn't she saved? she seems damn near invincible to me, i really have no idea how she would die other than of old age or something. maybe poison or something, i dont know. not the point.

The only way it would work is if they did one of those 6 months ago shows and then that timelines future peter came back

The way it is now, the timeline has been changed, peter has the healing ability, there's no way he can get a scar. unless, of course, someone was right about peter being able to forget/be wiped of abilities that he's learned.
