pretty sure thats 4 guys

but you cant go wrong with any of them really...

id prolyl go CJ just because I like him and what he can do, plus they have sooo many options its hard to shut him down.

from there its close, TO gets balls, thats for sure...
Fitz and Warner are a tandem that will explode
and certainly Roy is the big time play option for Kitna

its tough real tough but I say go CJ

We start two QBs, which two do you think?

Rivers, Eli, Romo (vs NE )

Also pick one TE:

Cooley or Owen Daniels.

Thanks...

JT3: For sleeper WRs try Derrick Mason (BAL) if he's still in the FA or Greg Jennings (GB) if he's not injured. Those are two WRs I have my eye on if I need one.

QB situation (so what else is new):

Jeff Garcia vs. Tennessee (#10 pass D for yards and has only allowed 2 passing TD's)

or

Damon Huard(semi-banged up) @ Cincy (#28 pass D and given up 11 passing TDs)

Rivers vs Oak or Romo vs NE?
Brian Leonard vs Bal or Cedric Benson vs Min
Cardinals D/ST vs Car or Chargers vs Oak?

So many choices, I always seem to make the wrong one.

the D/ST is why i'm doing it. steelers defense allowing half as many points as next best in the NFL.
i mentioned getting Housh instead, but the guy has Reggie Bush too. how bout that trade?

Don't trade LT for anything (unless it's something ridiculous like Romo, Brady, Gates, Chad Johnson, and Joseph Addai). End of discussion, haha.

what an unbelievably bad trade that would be for you

Derrick Ward isnt even the primary back anymore now that Jacobs is back.

Yeah, and defenses are basically week to week with matchups. Unless you get an ungodly number of points for a defense, don't do it. LT is a true premier back, and he's just warming up. If you are thinking about trading him, then you might as well cash it in, because your season is already over.

If you need a defense this week consider picking up the Giants... they have the most sacks and they play the Falcons who have allowed the most sacks. Would you use your #1 draft pick on a DEF? If the answer is No, then why would you trade a #1 Draft Pick for a DEF...?

RB Question (2 Starters):
Brandon Jacobs vs ATL
LaMont Jordan vs SD
Marion Barber III vs NE
MJD vs. HOU

I am leaning towards Brandon Jacobs and MJD... anyone have reason to believe that MB3 or LM will blow up?

I would probably go with Jacobs and Jordan, but Jordan is a question mark right now so I would watch his progress in practice this week. It does look like Lamont Jordan is going to start this week since he returned to practice yesterday.

He will either have to split carries with Fargas and Rhodes, or will go out there and prove he is the true go-to guy and run all over the chargers.

On a different note, some guy in my money league dropped Anquan Boldin AND Rudi Johnson last week. I was able to claim Rudi off of waivers. Anyone know his status going into this week, all I've heard is that he is still questionable.

Pick 2 RB:

Rudi Johnson @ KC
Lamont Jordan @ SD
Thomas Jones vs. Philly
Fred Taylor vs. Houston

^well there you go, maybe I'm too high up on Lamont since he has been a stud for me so far this season...

Yeah with Rhodes coming back and the back injury I am trying to work some kind of trade out and get rid of LaMont while his value is high.

I hate playing MB3 against NE... (let alone anyone), let's just hope the Jags give the ball to MJD (His carries this year have been so lowww)

^
Tough call I'd say LaMont if he's healthy and Fred Taylor.

I wouldnt want to play anybody against New England...but MB3 is easily Dallas' best running back...I just see him continuing to take away carries from Julius

I agree in that particular case, but its a bad overall strategy....sometimes a high round pick doesn't work out....at that point its a sunk cost, so if you can get better value with a trade (even if you trade for a late round sleeper that turned out to be good) you should do it.

or
d. anderson vs MIA

i've had anderson on the bench all year but damn... he keeps throwing TDs.

i'd probably go anderson, but it's hard to go wrong there. miami has such a terrible defense, and so do the browns. that game could easily be a pretty high-scoring one.

I would say Anderson....Hasselback sucked last week but he is playing the Saints.

Which one of these 3 should I start at WR:
Cotchery
Greg Jennings
Vincent Jackson
or Marques Colston who I am trying to pick up off waivers

[Edited on October 11, 2007 at 12:21 PM. Reason : Colston is available now]

tough call they are all pretty good

cotchery is gonna touch it prolly 5 times at least, but he doesnt get TDs thats the problem with him
with Colston it all depends on how Brees does and lately he has been sucking it up

Jennings has the benefit of being one of Favres favorite guys now so that may work, but Favre likes to spread the ball out

Jackson and Davis are Rivers onlyyyy go to guys down the field

I say you look at who the guys are playing against, what that defenses pass rating is and then that should tell you.

no do i go with Brees on Big Bens bye week or do I start someone else off waivers?

Jax or NE D as well...

Yeah I hear ya in that case, but LT isn't a sunk cost. Anyone thinking that needs to dismiss it. Turner said he'd start using LT more, and that was seen this past weekend.

If you want to talk about sunk costs look at LJ or some other top RBs.

Anderson easily. Miami stinks and Anderson has been lighting it up. Combine that with the fact that Jamal Lewis is not at full tilt and that may lead to airing it out even more than usual.

QB: Anderson vs. Miami or Griese vs. Minnesota?

Now, Griese sucks, but Minnesota is the WORST pass defense team in the league. He SHOULD have a big game. Anderson, as mentioned before, is lighting it up this year, and Miami's defense is below average...

^^I'd go with Engram. With Branch benched for the next couple of weeks, Engram will be the #1 WR; plus he's been getting a decent amount of redzone tosses this season so far

^Derek Anderson

yeah go with engram. if not engram, then curry. andre johnson is supposed to be back i think, which will lower the other andre's production/value.

culpepper apparently prefers running for 3 TD's to throwing for 3 TD's, so i'd say pick engram over curry.

and definitely start anderson over griese. miami has arguably the worst defense in the league. also chicago quarterbacks act like they play for nc state.

apparently Travis Henry will be active for at least 3 more weeks...judge gave him and his attorneys two weeks to file their appeal or something...per Henry's yahoo news page...so that Selvin Young pickup is gonna have to at least wait a few weeks...I might have to drop that bitch for a flex spot player in one league since Denver has a bye this week haha

btw i think its a good idea to boldface the names of players IF YOU'RE POSTING NEWS, not asking for advice...might help people be able to scan the page easier for general news, but it wont clog up the page if we dont do it on regular "sit or start" questions/posts

^^Crayton is hot right now but playing NE.

The Bears will have to throw the ball against Minnesota because their run D is good and Benson has sucked anyway. Moss has played 2nd fiddle to Randel El all year. I would still go Crayton will he is getting good looks.

ATL's pass D isn't that bad.
