Moreno/Big Ben for Gore/Fitzgerald

The latter team is last and could care less(he's not in the league next year). But this one has me pissed off...am I overreacting? I've already voted to veto. Ben rides the other guy's bench."

sounds too lopsided to not be collusion

yeah just because a team quits caring and accepts bs trades doesnt make it alright. I would probably contact the commish just in case not enough people veto the trade. That shouldnt be allowed to go through

should I start vince young this week?!

Im doing alright, guaranteed to make the playoffs. I'd be starting him over either brees or rivers (2 qb crazy league) where we get a point for every 10 yrds (rushing or passing). I don't want to start him if I know he's going to suck, but I'd start him if there is a decent chance for him to do well, even if it wouldnt be as good as rivers/brees.

I really really don't understand how you can be winning your league if you think there's even a slight possibility you should start a shitty QB who hasn't played significantly in a year over 2 of the top quarterbacks who both have great matchups.

**OK I didn't see the part about you not caring if he will do as well as Brees or Rivers, but that still doesn't make any sense.

Dynasty trade question: I give away Ryan Grant and my extra 1st round draft pick (probably #8/10) and receive Roddy White. Good/bad?

[Edited on October 29, 2009 at 5:29 PM. Reason : Also, it's ppr, I have good RB depth, and I need more WR & QB]

Only comment I want to make about that trade is just to mention that Roddy's schedule the rest of the year is against all teams that are either middle of the road or better in terms of defense. If you're looking to make a blockbuster WR trade I might try elsewhere first.

Thoughts on making a play on Jags D/ST vs. Vince Young and his potential epic blowup?

I don't really have much to lose and this league is with co-workers, so the possibility of a long-shot coming through and rubbing it in my opponents face is intriguing.

^^what? no

I will veto that trade as fast as I can. Pierre has a slight edge on Addai and dont Fitz is way better than Caldwell, terrible trade

sounds like one of those trades that Rodge and Peng have been sending out this week

haha it was a rodge trade

now for my question: should I start Eli or Ryan this week? Ryan is going against a very good NO defense (secondary at least) and the eagles are always a problem for Eli... I think it is possibly that both qb's could have a subpar week, but I'm trying to figure out which one has the best chance of breaking the suck-streak and putting up over 10 pts this week

Terrible question to have to ask but my starting QB is on Bye. Only two viable options are:

Sanchez v. MIA
or
Hasselbeck v. DAL

^I'd go Hasselbeck. More weapons, more experience, Dallas' secondary is not great.

ok:

K. Orton @ BAL

or

M. Ryan @ NO

Flacco vs. DEN
or pickup and start Bulger vs. DET

My heart says Flacco, but that Denver D is intimidating. I'm also starting Ray Rice so I'm worried if Baltimore's offense gets stalled all night.

(WR/TE flex)
Johnny Knox vs. CLE
or Brent Celek vs. NYG

Defense:
Eagles vs. Giants
Chargers vs. OAK

What do you guys think of LeSean McCoy vs. the Giants this week? Lots of screens....Westbrook seems out....

^^ Hasselbeck, Dallas pass D sucks

^ its only a 6 man league and we start 3RB 2QB 3WR 2TE 2K and 2Def. I know, its kinda gay but its fun. I just picked up Simms-Walker, Jennings and Forte off of waivers/FA. My WR and RB are good but I sacrificed QBs.

Also in addition to the WR:

Pick 3 RB
Forte
Gore
S. Jackson
MJD
Ricky Williams

the matchups would help, but you probably will be alright with any combination that you go with

pick 3:

Roddy White @ NO
Mike Sims-Walker @ Ten
Vincent Jackson @ Oak (and asomugha)
Greg Jennings vs. Min
Sidney Rice @ GB

almost positive I'm starting Roddy and Sims-Walker, I'm torn about VJax, Jennings and Rice

^ Go with V-JAX.

As good as Asomugha is, he has been beaten by the big WR's this year. Bowe and V-Jax played well against them last time.

Also, typically the Raiders put Asomugha on Gates, but he NEVER solely defends one guy. Their philosophy is to have him shut down one side of the field, as opposed to shutting down one guy.

Very similar to what the Falcons, Cowboys and 49ers did with Deion Sanders.

Start V-Jax with confidence, but keep in mind...this will be a blowout, so you've got about a 3 quarter max window for production as opposed to a normal 4Q game.

If you are worried about that, go with Jennings, since Winfield will be out and they will have to (and want to) throw.

I like your first two, plus V-JAX.

can "neither" be an option at this point?

if not, drop Charles. Yeah, he may be a starter, but KC is so fucked up, you could never justify starting him.

Green is one injury away from being a BEAST.

I'm out of bench space. Need to actually drop 2 to get a bye week qb and don't have a k. Maclin, dbrown, Greene, Charles, burleson, agonz are the mouthbreathers I have to consider dropping. I can go without a k, but I am at the bottom of the league (no k hasn't made a diff so far)

Garrard Vs. Ten

LOTS of rain for the 1pm games in Philly and New York. Not that you weren't planning on starting them anyway, but big days for Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams, Thomas Jones and Brandon Jacobs potentially coming up...

My question is:

Pick 2:
Miles Austin
Anquan Boldin
Brandon Marshall

I'm leaning Austin and Marshall because of the Boldin Q.

[Edited on November 1, 2009 at 10:37 AM. Reason : really it's b/t Marshall and Boldin. Austin is a must against SEA]

[Edited on November 1, 2009 at 10:38 AM. Reason : my #1 WR is Andre Johnson if it matters]

so it sounds like Calvin Johnson is expected to play, so do I stick him in as a starter this week and hope he plays the whole game and doesn't get re-injured?

Current starters are: B. Marshall @ Baltimore, D. Hester vs. Cleveland, and S. Breaston vs. Carolina

**Nevermind.. he has been ruled inactive

Pick 3: R. White, Donald Driver, J. Knox, or Cribbs - this a ppr league, but I also get 1pt per 25 yards returning... cribbs and knox typically put up at least 7-8 pts for me, but I'm wondering if Driver can pull something off against the vikings def

Love Housh today. H-Beck will be pressured to make quick throws, and Housh will be the beneficiary of that. The Boys may get up big, and Housh will be in on quite a few plays.

Housh vs DAL
B. Marshall vs BAL

start 2

LT vs OAK
Kevin Smith vs STL
Steve Slaton vs BUF

both BUF and STL are awful against the run and I need big points from my RBs this week
