I was using sarcasm in case that wasn't detected. It's really a crap shoot on who to pull, pull Bodie and remove our fighting plug or Samson and remove our 5-8 minute guy who should be getting more of an opportunity but doesn't. Bowman will play only 5 minutes or 8 minutes tops, so it almost doesn't matter who is pulled.

Yes, the quick whistle cost us at least one point.

However Gleason definitely had his fair share letting Hendricks score as the trailer on the Arnott breakaway. That was pathetic.

The first two periods were good tonight. The effort was there, and we were rewarded a little bit (Read: One goal) before they ended. However in the third period we fell apart. The powerplay is still terrible, and we've got no offense at all right now.

We have no identity, and that falls on the coaches shoulders. The systems that he chooses are what determine the identity of a team, and right now we have none.

Toward the end, it looked more like Staal was being held back from the ref rather than a Caps player.

I'd be extremely pissed, too, but we blew so many opportunities at the end there. PP with 5 minutes left and you get off 0 shots? C'mon now.

I don't think this one is the season, but we MUST win everything at home, and steal one on the road. And hope that NYR, Buffalo, Toronto, Atlanta, and NJ have horrible records from here out.

Staal, skinner and jussi carried our offense all year, they disappeared during our current slump, if we are going to makes the playoffs they HAVE to wake up and carry the team on their shoulders.

Do need Staal to get going again. We got in the playoff hunt when he and Skinner lit up the scoresheet between Thanksgiving and the ASG. Need them to start scoring again and our PP has to start at least looking competent. Defense hasn't been bad overall lately but the offense has really struggled.

That's a frustrating game for sure. We should either be tied or within a point of the Rangers right now, but alas we shot ourselves in the foot with our continued terrible power play. Ronnie has to go back upstairs he's useless if he's the one leading the power play, it is pathetic.


On a side note, I might have 2 tickets and parking for free if anyone is interested for tonight's game - section 314 Row B seats 1 and 2 (behind net we defend twice). My plans with my friend quickly look to be fading away since she has weekend duty this weekend at her job and there looks to be troubles. Let me know!

it is becoming very apparent that we don't have enough talent to run our systems effectively. we either have to get more talented players here (which is not happening with our budget) or we get rid of our current systems (fire the coaches). if neither happens, this is a continuing cycle year in and year out and the fanbase will more and more stop supporting the team because of not making the playoffs but once every four years.
