^Maybe so, but Obama was appealing to a lot of people because he was new to politics, unlike Clinton who had been involved in Washington politics since before some of today's voters were even born. Clinton got in because liberal voters were cool with status quo politics and the press loves the Clintons.

I would say it was Obama himself.

You should read into how he became a Senator for Illinois. Pretty shady stuff.

Can someone with premium access resize this for me?

Here's why people keep calling Trump racist. Or why people keep calling his followers racists. And, Republicans in general. I took this picture at a small Fall festival in Denver, NC. The Republican Party of Lincoln Co. just happened to set up shop right beside the Sons of Confederate Veterans. The optics here are horrible.

So lemme get this straight.

You think Donald J Trump is a racist because The Republican Party of Lincoln County, NC had their booth adjacent to the Lincolnton, NC chapter of the Sons of Confederate Veterans at the Fall Festival in Denver, NC?

[Edited on September 26, 2016 at 11:44 AM. Reason : As far as his supporters go, this is much more direct: http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-race-idUSKCN0ZE2SW]

Can you just stop replying personally to my posts. You suck at reading them. You really do.

I was just commenting on the optics, and why it appears he's a racist. Go back and read it. Quote it, whatever you want to do. I didn't call him racist, but others here have.

WTF does Donald Trump have to do with the Fall Festival in Denver, NC? Did he personally place that Trump/Pence sign or something?

I'm pretty sure people think Trump is a racist because he called Mexican immigrants rapists, wants to ban Muslims from entering our country, and said ‘Laziness is a trait in blacks,’ not because of a campaign sign placement at the Denver, NC Fall Festival.

So where are all those Hillary health foil hatters today? Why aren't they questioning Trump's health as he was clearly sick last night.

Oh, Trump already addressed that. He wasn't sick. The mic was broken and somehow amplifying his breathing while muffling his speech,

Quote :
"Donald Trump says he didn't have the sniffles during the debate.

The Republican presidential nominee sounded like he was sniffling — and loudly — through much of the presidential debate Monday, eliciting comments and jokes on social media. The hashtag #sniffle became popular on Twitter.

But asked about that in a phone interview Tuesday morning on "Fox & Friends," Trump denied there was any sniffling.

He said the microphone was very bad, "but maybe it was good enough to hear breathing. But there was no sniffles."

He said he doesn't have a cold or allergies."

i love how he's denying doing something he clearly did for 90 minutes straight, in front of 100 million people.

someone on NPR this morning speculated that it could have been a nervous tick.

I watched the whole thing and somehow didn't notice the sniffling once until I heard people talking about it after the debate. Seems like one of those things as soon as you notice once you notice every time I guess. Also could have been too busy laughing to hear it.

"An uncharacteristically low-tempoed speech in Chicago Wednesday paired with a noticeable congestion has fueled further questions about Trump's health following his infamous debate-night sniffles. Still, his campaign insists Trump does not have a cold and is feeling "just fine."

Trump spoke during a campaign event at the Polish National Alliance, but social media viewers were quick to point out he sounded congested, his voice scratchy during the event.

On Monday, Trump’s sniffles appeared to distract many people following along with the debate on social media and certainly did not go unnoticed, with #TrumpSniffles showing up on Twitter timelines.

Trump insisted Tuesday that he didn't have the sniffles during the debate. Asked about them in a phone interview Tuesday morning on "Fox & Friends," Trump denied there was any sniffling, said he doesn't have a cold or allergies, and blamed the microphone."

I wonder how much, if any, of the sniffing was an attempt not to breathe into the mic?

It is pretty funny to see this though.

^^ Trump already said he didn't have a cold or allergies. While I typically don't believe a word that comes out of his loud mouth, I don't see why he would lie about it. I honestly think the cocaine or stimulant theory is more likely than an overly sensitive microphone, as outlandish as that sounds. He clearly didn't prepare for the debate, so anything he says at this point sounds like a bullshit excuse to me.

cnn interviewed people at the trump rally on tuesday and the general consensus was that the offensive things he said didn't matter and it was silly to act like they did when the country has real policy concerns. the crowd quickly got rowdy complaining about them being clinton propaganda and police had to escort the cnn crew to safety

thats just one example of how the media cried wolf and lost all credibility and now its too late for them to be able to show people how bad trump is

I don't think you understand what "crying wolf" means and why it's considered a bad thing. To cry wolf means to make a scene, asking for help, as if your life is in danger, when there's actually no threat at all. People might believe you at first and come to your "rescue" a few times, but after awhile, people assume you're lying, and eventually nobody will come to save you when you're actually in trouble.

I don't see how the media has cried wolf at all about Trump. If you're suggesting they share a lot of blame for giving him tons of attention and exposure, that's certainly true. But that's not at all what "crying wolf" means...

Yeah the MSM has been acting like anyone besides the democrat (republicans) is the wolf for a long time. Now trump is actually the wolf and the trump supporters have long since dismissed the MSM media for their liberal bias. Everything the media reports negative on trump is being dismissed by his supporters.

Decent gamble by Trump. Get the media talking about his inability to control himself (which his supporters actually love about him) and they stay away from the Cuba story.

Cuba story could torpedo him in Florida which if he loses he has zero path to win.

(I mean it's pathetic and shows more than a little bit of psychological problems to obsessively tweet late night about things but no GOP voters care about his mental illnesses)

what's worse for his image? not paying taxes? or losing almost a billion dollars in 1995 alone? this tax return leak is going to make him lose his shit.

this guy is a shitty businessman. the only reason he's rich is because banks keep telling themselves he's a worthy investment and NBC needed desperately to get in the reality game

the good thing about his campaign being full of bumbling dipshits trying to get theirs is that they haven't even tried scrubbing his twitter, so now people are being up tons of old tweets of his shitting on people for not paying taxes.

this guy is a fucking ponzi scheme

The Cuba thing isn't going to hurt him outside Florida-- it could be spun as admirable he was trying to do business with the Cubans to help them. Just depends how clinton can paint the obvious attempt to scheme against the us government.

The tax thing seems highly speculative, they're making a lot of extrapolations off a 20 year old tax return, but it will look really bad if trump doesn't clear things up by releasing the actual returns.

Unless the trump team has secret Hillary scandals in their pocket, which seems unlikely considering how much flak Hillary has caught for years now, it's going to be another rough week for trump.

^^exactly, everyone knows there is a separate tax code for large business and super rich individuals and i believe its the source for much of the corruption in DC. people only spend billions of dollars on those rats because there is a positive return on investment #fairtax

He's a fucking clown and I can think of hundreds of reasons he shouldn't be president but isn't this just an indictment of our fucked up tax laws? I don't see any accusations of tax evasion (although i wouldn't be surprised if he does do some shady shit). Who doesn't try to pay as little taxes as possible under the rules?

Not releasing his current tax returns is shady though and implies he's hiding something.
