With the lack of any good multiplayer games recently, my friends and I have started getting back into Halo 3. I actually made a vehicle intensive map on Sandlot or w/e, looks like it could be pretty fun.

I haven't downloaded any of the new map packs though, I might get the cold storage and heroic (free) ones later today

yeah it was a silly, but hopeful question asking if it was free or not. oh well. no reason to start playing again.

also, I still like H3 more than COD4.

Hell, I'd probably play Team Fortress 2 on the XBox before Halo 3 again. Gears 2. Street Fighter IV, L4D anything!

Not many of my friends have any of those games to begin with (no one has CoD5). But regardless:

CoD4/5: No split screen. We were doing 2-3 players on one screen last weekend, last night we had people split screen playing with us over live. Impossible with CoD.

L4D: I'll admit, it gets boring. Its fun, but once you run a mission, its "eh". I haven't done much versus because Live players are dicks and its not fun

GoW2: Fun as hell. Nobody owns it.

Other: Nobody owns it.

it's hard for other games to compete with halo 3 when you can have 4 people on at the same time. that shit is so much fun.

we only played 2 of the three. they aren't the best maps, but at least it's something new.

Made two forge maps on Sandlot that had a ton of vehicles...one had bunch of Warthogs, a tank you had to work to get to, 2 banshees, a Hornet, and rockets/spartan lasers thrown around. Its a blast
Other map is a 'Monster Truck' variant where its just Warthogs and Mongooses.

What is Rocket Race? I might make a forge map of that, I heard it was fun. It is just Mongooses, rockets, and 0% Weapon damage/Vehicle Invincibility?

Didn't Bungie say Halo 3 was designed to not be installed and run from the hard drive back in the day?

Nice to see one of the last "competitive" shooters get some attention, I still hate Bungie and TWC though... my console is still probably host-banned.
